The penguin that gained several attention from the cutout of one of the characters from Kemono Friends has now died. He gained all the popularity after he would just spend his time with the penguin cutout and had even tried initiating mating ritual with it.

As fans continue to mourn the passing of Grape-kun, a 21 year old Humboldt penguin at Tobu Zoo who captured the Internet's heart when he fell in love with a standee of Hululu from Kemono Friends, manga artist and Kemono Friends concept designer Mine Yoshizaki has created a piece of memorial artwork featuring Grape-kun and Hululu together.
