I stuck to the plan somewhat so shout out to 13 for helping me out. I got a coffee lake i7 not the k version though so I got a 212 evo to cool it instead of the kraken and I opted to get a 1080 not the ti simply cuz I got a very good deal on it.

Still questioning why you went with the 212 over a dark rock, or kraken.. Nonetheless, looks clean, would've looked nice with a sleeved white cable kit. Just my two cents though.

I would've gotten the kraken if I got the 8700k but since I couldn't oc the I had no use for a aio. I don't really know why I got the evo though I just kinda saw it and was like "Yeah, that'll do".

212 EVO makes me hurt but Meshify C redeems it. To be fair, the 212 EVO is still fine, theres really nothing wrong with it, theres just a lot of better/cheaper alternatives.

Oh, and as for 8700 vs 8700k, 8700 is still a stupid good CPU. Overclocking doesnt actually seem to be such a large benefit with Coffee Lake, at least its not really worth the premium unless you really specifically want to overclock. The 8700 is like 25% cheaper than the 8700k as well(right now anyway) and wont have trouble with anything so the 8700k is a bit tough to recommend, same with i5-8400 vs 8600k.
