Good Day All,

I am coming to TheTechGame forum community in search of your advice on the best streaming programs available. I have done quite a bit of research but want to make sure i exhaust all my options before i make a decision. So here is what i have now.

I Record Xbox One Gameplay on my PC using a Elgato HD60 Pro. It came with some software which has the capability to record raw input whilst streaming with overlays and added chat/Music. This is a feature i desire very much but as for the rest of the software's features....well it sucks. I have used OBS since i started streaming and like it very much so. I am aware it is impossible for OBS to record a raw copy and i am looking for a way to supplement that. I have come up with the following options to make this possible.

1. Buy Vmix Pro or Vmix 4K which is upwards of 700 dollars. This software has this capability.

2. Open two instances of OBS record raw input on one and refer the streaming one to a screen cap of the instance that is recording. My fear here is the degradation in quality from capturing the gameplay from a window.

3. Subscribe/buy Manycam. it is software that allows you to use one video source in multiple applications. I would run two instances of OBS both of which would receive raw Capture card footage thanks to many cam and one would record while the other streams. This is looking like the best option so far.

Failed suggestions:

I have been told to use multiple instances of software of two different type of software to do both. As i am sure you may have gathered already i can not access the capture card from two different locations. Hence the fault in this plan.

There are many other available streaming software options but as far as i know none offer the option to record raw footage while simultaneously streaming with overlays.

If anybody knows of anything i have overlooked or has a suggestion it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Best Regards,

Number 2 sounds like it should work, as well as #3

My only issue with this is that the stream will come out as a lower quality video. Which is not something i particularly want to compromise.
