Hello all,
This is my current PC setup -
case: Corsair graphite 230t
Motherboard: asus m5a97 r2.0
Graphics card: zotac gtx 1060 6 core with 2 fans
CPU: AMD FX8350 8 core 4HZ
ram: 2x Hyper X Fury 8gb DDR3 (I have 16GB)
I have little/No knowledge on gaming PC however i have a friend who knows his stuff. He put together this list for me to buy which comes at £450.

I have a few questions -
When i look up the Motherboard on OCUK, it comes up with 3 which are the same however they have different prices. What are the differences in these motherboards?

Number 3 is the one which my friend recommended however i want to know, is it worth me spending the extra money and buying Number 1 or 2? Will i benefit from spending the extra money?

My next question is about the Ryzen CPU. I searched the CPU on OCUK and it came up with two however they have a different price tag.

I noticed that number 1 comes with a good CPU cooler however it is 3.2GHZ or 3.6GHZ overclocked (I dont think i will overclock my PC) and that number 2 comes without a CPU cooler which means i will have to buy a new one however it comes with 3.6GHZ and 4GHZ overclocked. What will be better for my GTX 1060?
What one would you recommend i get? Will it fit into the PC motherboard which you chose above as i heard the CPU is a different size socket and i want to make sure it fits? Is the 3.6GHZ worth the extra £30 in order for me to get better performance?

They said that Ryzen relies on ram for it to function well? Would this ram work with my motherboard and is it good for the Ryzen CPU?

Last question is about the case. My friend recommended the OCUK Benifix nova. However i found this case and i am in love with it!

Would this be a better case to go for and will the parts fit inside the case?
And lastly, If i was to upgrade my GPU from the 1060 to a 1080, will these parts be able to support the 1080?
Thank you ever so much for helping me, It is hard finding parts when i dont have much knowledge.
I am willing to spend extra money and make sure that i buy the better performing parts which will last me longer as this is the last upgrade i plan on doing to my PC for a while.

I guarantee you they are not all "the same" motherboard. I'm willing to bet it's the AB350-Gaming, AB350-Gaming 3, and AB350M-Gaming 3. They're all lesser quality than the Asus motherboard that I recommended in the first place.

They're both the exact same CPU, the 1600x just comes with a higher base and boost clock speed. It's not worth the extra for a 1600x considering you have to buy an aftermarket cooler on top of that, when you can buy the 1600 for less than the 1600x(not including cooler), and overclock the 1600 with the stock cooler to 3.8GHz+ easily, which will offer performance almost exactly on par with the 1600x. Push a 1600 to 4GHz and you've got yourself a 1600x for £40+ less.
Huh? The 1600 and 1600x use different socket motherboards? Who told you that?
Yeah, do not buy the 8GB 2400MHz RAM your friend recommended. Again, what I already suggested is better. It's stupid going from 16GB RAM right now, to 8GB with a new CPU. You can easily get 16GB 3200MHz RAM within budget with an R5 1600 and better motherboard than the 3 you're looking at.
Not sure why, it's a budget case. It's not an upgrade from your current case.

No idea what you mean by "support"? A GTX 1080 will run in your system currently, without the new CPU, Mobo, etc. Motherboard, RAM, CPU, have nothing to do with GPU compatibility. Only make and model of your case and PSU are important for checking compatibility with GPU really.

Yeah, do not buy the 8GB 2400MHz RAM your friend recommended. Again, what I already suggested is better. It's stupid going from 16GB RAM right now, to 8GB with a new CPU. You can easily get 16GB 3200MHz RAM within budget with an R5 1600 and better motherboard than the 3 you're looking at.
