Avatar is not an anime, but anyway on Netlifx you could watch One Punch Man. It's about a superhero who can beat any villain in one punch but this daily life struggle of trying to find a villain who can match his power.

My hero academia is always a good place to start and another show I recommend is Haikyuu.

Usagi Drop and Anohana, for Slice of life.

Chivalry of a Failed Knight and Zero no Tsukaima (This one is long) Action/Romance

Is This a Zombie? and The Devil is a Part-Timer! For Action/Comedy

Log Horizon, No Game No Life and DanMachi, for Game genre.

Clannad and Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, for Romance

These all have a light story, and is really easy to get into. Zero no tsukaima is long and isn't for everyone but you might enjoy it. You'll know if you like it after 3 episodes.
