I've been considering making the switch.

If any of you have done this, what are your thoughts? Does the Surface have the same functionality or does it feel too much like a laptop? Do you feel like the Surface gets too hot comparatively?

Just looking for some opinions!

(first time posting again in forever - hi new friends!)

I have made the transition and I thoroughly enjoy having an entire computer OS in my grasp.

I miss my iPad for having the convenience of Apple and the App Store, but that is about it. Worth the money whether it be for gaming, editing, rendering, browsing, etc.

It really depends what you use your device for, if its more of an entertainment device than its not worth the switch. If you have other apple products, you may want to keep the iPad as everything works together nicely
