My GT is MASTER CHIEP, and I enjoy anime because i enjoy romance and cool stuff like Gurren Laggan, i love musical animes they melt my heart.

Hello there! I'm RagingBattles on Xbox and I'm here to tell you why I like anime!
Or rather... why I think simply saying "I like anime" doesn't make much sense to me. I mean, there are so many genres of anime that it seems a bit ridiculous to bundle them all into one category, doesn't it? There are anime I absolutely adore, and still others that I can't stand. So I'll tell you why I like the anime that I do like, and stay away from the ones I don't.
I'm a big fan of story-driven shows. Sure, a show can look nice, and that's great, but if it doesn't have a gripping story, then it's meaningless to me. The anime art style can look amazing when done correctly, but it's very easy to be done wrong. I personally wasn't a big fan of Code Geass's art style, what with their 90 degree chins and all. But when I became invested in its characters and world, I knew I wanted to watch it all the way through.
But that doesn't mean I'm not down for some mindless action scenes, either. BLAME! (the manga, not the anime) is a great example of this. BLAME! has a very compelling story and great characters, but sometimes the fight scenes can bring the story to a halt. But when these scenes are coreographed and executed perfectly, it gets a pass.
I know this was rather long (and I could still go on and on), but I'm very passionate about anime and love deep discussion like this
