I would like to take the time to hopefully prevent any and all members buying online services from being scammed.

Things to watch for:

1.) TTG Messagaing
- All of us that run a legitimate service will do so over TTG. This is a rule enforced by staff. Doing so you are ensuring you have proof if a service is to not be be completed. It also prevents you from being scammed by an impersonator.

2.) Look for the badge
- Users with the Trusted Seller badge are verified by staff to run a legitimate service.

3.) Use your resources
- Before paying for a service check to see if a users has any vouches they can show you. Most will have these on their post for you to access.

- If there isnt a post to reference, ask for a previous buyers name and follow up.

- Another great indicator is the status of the account. Take into consideration their reputation, rank, and years on site.

***However, new services from new members are arriving everyday and should be given the benefit of the doubt granted they have valid proof.***

4.) Look for Proof
-Regardless of the service, makes sure you check for proof. Ask for video proof of the user doing said service. This is also a requirement and should already be provided.

Above all, use common sense!

Dalm and I have received several complaints recently regarding our modding topics being used towards money scams. I felt with all the complaints, this may be useful.

There's not a lot of people with trusted seller badge.

People legit need to use their brain. I've seen posts in Call Of Duty forum's with people with 1 post count, no proof trying to sell mods and kids actually falling for it. If you can't use common sense then maybe getting scammed will teach you a lesson.

My motto is, "If something seems too good to be true, then it for sure is."

Haven't been scammed once.

This post is somewhat useless though, If you don't wanna get scammed just use common sense.

I have been scammed once on another site for about $30 for a Black Ops 3 account. And I was recently part of an attempt to scam me once again for the same thing.

The user had showed me quite some proof and told me that the asking price was $30-$40, which seemed to be a fair price for the Master Prestige account with good stats + some Supply Drop weapons and Hero gear. Now, he said the lowest he could go was $20, which seemed a bit fishy to me and I had asked him if I could add him on the account, go on Black Ops 3 and check the stats of the account. Guess what? He never answered back and probably blocked me on Kik.

Always trust your gut, especially with purchases off of sites that aren't eBay or Amazon, which have some form of protection for buyers and sellers alike.

More people need to be given this badge. Its seems to only be given to members who are close with staff. Which is unsderstarnable but some members such as myself and Dalm are legitimate sellers and have been and received thousands Ive vouches and never received it.
