So I got a monitor : Asus VS248 for my birthday and today was the first time I gamed on it, I opened TF2 and a weird rectangle kept flickering on and off covering about 1/8 of the screen. It's only on my monitor not on my laptop and only happens when playing TF2, no other game.
Any help is appreciated

Its probably a game resolution problem. try lowering it

Are you using a VGA cable (blue connector) or DVI (white connector) or HDMI?
I would try enabling V-sync on TF2 and see if that fixes anything. Also see if you can update your drivers as that could very well fix the issue.

Definitely check your drivers, and if that is not it maybe try lowering the resolution of TF2 and really if all else fails just delete it and re download it
