So tonight I got into an accident and I have scratches all over the front right side of my bumper and right side of my hood. My car is black and they're big long white gashes. How much would it cost to fix this? PS I'm not going through the insurance, it's outta pocket.

There are products that are sold at Advanced Auto Parts and such stores that can be used to deal with scratches on a car's paint but I'm not really sure how effective these products are since I haven't had to deal with this.

You could try that to see if you can get some of the weaker scratches cleared from your paint. I'm sorry to hear about your accident.

really just all depends on how deep/long they are, as well as what you use (DIY) or a shop.

a friend got his car keyed and a shop fixed it for 200

another friend did it himself with like 80 dollars worth of stuff but his didn't come out too well

i would call around to shops near you and see what they would charge, maybe you can get a hook up?

they're pretty deep and long like 15-18 inches id say so I'm expecting an estimate of near $1000

depends on how bad it is , if you go to a dealership its usually more expensive than a local place

Update, I got quotes. One place said $950 without replacing my scratched headlight, another said $2250 for everything, and another said $823 without replacing my bumper and headlight and $2240 for everything
