No. These are all just "shows of force" to intimidate other countries; in intimidation, they've succeeded and have gotten the attention of multiple countries. The North Korean regime seems like it's going to be intact for quite some time and they're just making sure that the rest of the world knows what type of arsenal NK has.

The United States military, yet alone, is capable of defeating any military on the plant within the span of two months. Easily.
People tend to forget, even noted by politicians like Ben Shapiro, that Saddam Hussein's military was the fourth largest military on Earth, and was finished in a span of three weeks.

The United States military is comparatively the most powerful war machine in history.

North Korea's got nothing on us, Son!

Wrong, I highly doubt the US could invade countries such as NK, Russia, China or even some European super powers. The US would play the pissing contest and fall flat. What makes the US such a deadly force are its allies and influence.

Yet again, Allies are key.

The US led invasion would not of been possible without British, Aussie and Peshmerga help.

At the height of the British Empire or Mongol Army I would have to disagree.

North Korea's got nothing on us, Son!

Probably true, apart from ICBM's ready to fire at your major cities and infrastructure at the drop a hat.

The tensions between US, Russia, NK etc could easily destroy the planet and having people in power that like dick measuring contests is not healthy with the recent NK developments.

All valid points made. But come on, North Korea?

Yes, a country where 1,190,000 people are active armed forces (4th largest in the world) 6,300,000 reserve military forces (2nd Largest in the world). Per 1000 people 306 have military training.

The North Korean people would be scared not to serve their country. When Kim il Sung died people who didn't "mourn hard enough" would receive prison time. When the government says jump they say how high.

North Korea has universal conscription for males and selective conscription for females with many pre- and post-service requirements. Article 86 of the North Korean Constitution states: "National defence is the supreme duty and honour of citizens. Citizens shall defend the country and serve in the armed forces as required by law."

KPA soldiers serve a minimum of 10 years of military service in the KPA, which also runs its own factories, farms and trading arms.

Regardless of whether they are trying to show off or preparing for war, this has a lot of people shaken. Something bad is certainly coming.

Yes, it does have a lot of people shaken and worried; including my mother and grandparents. I wouldn't exactly say that something bad is coming soon but I will say that all countries should be on high alert due to North Korea, they aren't meant to be taken as a joke or "they're just showing off their arsenal". Their arsenal now (supposedly) consists of missiles which can now reach certain parts of the United States and other countries, they should not be treaded lightly.

That's just sickening to see.
I'll do more research.

Thanks for the input.
