Changed the battery in my car and now the radio wont work. Gives error code "er6" (scratched disk). Took disk out but still wont work. No audio. Tried pulling fuse under wheel, no luck. Fuse panel under hood didnt have a audio/stereo fuse in it. Read you could reset ecu and that will fix it, but idk if i should yet.

Im basically stuck. And paying the dealer to unlock or reset the radio aint happening lmao. They want $128 to do it with 1 hr labor.

Anyone know what to do or had similar issues?

Disconnecting the negative terminal from the battery often resets the radio.

Easy way to reset most radio is taking out the fuse on the back of the radio.

If that doesn't work then disconnect the wiring harness on the back of the radio.

If that doesn't work then we can try a couple other things but I think that might work for you.

If you need help with the radio removal then here is a short video that takes it step by step:
