Ok I haven't planned on even saying anything about these kind of people but it has got to the point where its constant. Every time i join in onto CoD Bo2, there is always at least one hacker i run into and some of them get on my nerves.

Today I was bored and decided to play some Bo2 Multiplayer for fun. I join in a Search and Destroy lobby when i realize that a person is hitting aimbot trickshots. I don't usually plug in my mic but I had plugged it in to ask for them to stop modding for the game so all players can have the same advantage and have fun, another player who had been the Co-Host or Host ( Im not sure of this but messages on the screen said to message him for co-host ) He then responds to me saying i have got a "big mouth" and "trashtalking" when i had only asked them to stop modding. He then goes on to threaten me by booting my ip offline, I didn't leave the game because I wanted to stand my ground and play the game like i had planned but obviously he had booted me offline and my internet was down for a good 1-2 hours, I then had to call my carrier to re-boot my router and fix everything, I still dont understand why this guy had to do this, my only argument was for them to stop hacking and they obviously didn't to and had taken it to a whole other level.

I have the gamertag of the Potential Host and Co-Host and i dont believe these players deserve to play on xbox at all since they ruin other players experience, I am not targetting any of the TTG Modders here, i respect all of them because they do it for business and are trustworthy, some even do it for free because they are so nice but when it comes to the modders that put give themself power over other players and kick them makes me pretty angry.

I Know that almost any person can relate to this because if you play call of duty there are bound to be hackers that use the hacking advantage over others but it doesnt stop me from the challenge of beating them.

So there is my evening in a nutshell for today, if anyone can help me out and maybe make it so i cant be booted offline (VPN for xbox) the please comment some advice for me, I know i should have left the lobby when the guy threatened me but he was so much of a dick I wouldn't think he would take the time out of his life to do that but i guess he did.

There's my Rant/Story if any of you guys want to share some similar stories go for it, I like these kind of stories

I myself am I hoster so I know what this is like. Sometimes I do like to go online and just mess around with other players and often times I do get messages to stop, leave the game, things like that. However, I have never hit someone offline because I find that very childish.

As to avoiding this from happening again, you could just leave when you see a modder in the game or you could get a VPN on your console. There are plenty of tutorials online on how to set it up, I think another user on here actually uploaded one as well so just set that up and you will be good to go.

Black Ops 2 is basically unplayable unless you find a game mode with few to no modders (which no modders is impossible to find).

It's pretty simple. You just back out of their game and don't even bother trying to get their attention to stop modding; all you'll do is encourage their trolling and they'll want to boot you offline. I've run into quite a few modders during my few months playing Black Ops 2; 85% of them are assholes and the other 15% are people who just host fun lobbies. It's the little power they quite possibly have and they enjoy making people go through shit.

And now, with the remote recovery method, they could just wait for you to get offline and reset you or worse, make you level 1 with negative XP so you can never play the game again until you get that fixed.

What can you expect really. Most of them are children or edgy teenagers who think they're unstoppable because they have cheats. And from my experience with playing CoD is that generally anyone that's being an asshole will start the whole "I'm booting you offline" argument.

Sometimes they don't do it sometimes they do but all you really do is report them because I'm positive this is against some rule on the Xbox ToS. Though I don't play Xbox anymore I'd imagine booting someone offline would be a no-no.

Also don't feel too bad about it. You're already better than them by not stooping to their level of immaturity.

That would bother me as well. The way I see it, you have two options: leave the game, or don't play the game at all. If the game is modded that much in public lobbies I know I wouldn't be playing online at all.

I hosted for a while on PS3 and i can relate, half of the time i turned off mods just to play normal. Abuser's ruin the game and even developer's of menu's/tool's don't agree with it.
But what can you do until they grow up and stop being d***s
