TMZ has just reported that Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington has committed suicide. According to the report it was by hanging.

Bennington was only 41 years old. According to TMZ, his body was discovered earlier today:
Law enforcement sources tell us the singer hanged himself at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. County. His body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM.
Chester was married with 6 children from 2 wives.

I had just finished reading about this on Twitter. Very sad news to hear about especially since he left behind 6 children. Was reading that one of his close friends also committed suicide and it was his birthday today so I feel like that could've also impacted him.

This is really crazy news, I used to listen to them a lot when I was younger and loved the music but not once ever thought this would happen and pretty sad that his life ended this year. May he rest in peace.

Such a sad thing to happen! One of my favourite songs from Linkin Park. Big fan of the lyrics.

I saw this earlier and couldnt help but feel some sadness, as meme-ified as Linkin park was i cant deny i grew up listening to their music. It definitely sucks that this was an outcome for him as more and more musicians die from suicide

Yeah.. that was Chris Cornell. He was the lead singer of the grunge band Soundgarden. He also sang at his funeral.

It's private, simple, doesn't put anyone else in danger and leaves your corpse in something of a presentable fashion for a funeral.
It's also a good way of letting people know it was your choice.
You can't accidentally hang yourself but you can accidentally overdose.

I'm just wondering now if he left a note.

But no matter how he killed himself people would still find a way to say this was a conspiracy.

This was some shocking news to hear, I'm so upset his gone, absaloutly loved listen to his music back in the day. I didn't realise his personal issues he had. I knew he had a drug problem, but never knew he had a mental illness. Such a shame to loose such a legend, my heart goes out to his friends and family.
