It all comes down to people's preferences but in my opinion I can't stand the current rap songs or music. I'll go with old school and that's it .

Some of the rappers in today's age also put thought into their music and release songs with meaning and with more intelligent lyrics than "I'll f** yo bi**" and stuff like that.

It's all about personal preference; some will enjoy today's rap and others will dislike it. I like today's rap, it's something I can "turn up to" and I also like rap from the 90s.

I like Drake but he's way too overhyped nowadays.

First. Hopsin makes music that is understandable. The one song you decided to pick was a song he intentionally made showing how bad rap is. 2nd I don't look at any of the auto tune Whiny "rappers" as music. I see it as retards that want money. Let's be realistic it isn't even close to rap. It's not even comparable. Just because a couple retards ruin it doesn't mean "today's" rap is trash.

Old school Rap was most definitely a lot better than today's rap. But I can jam out to a lot of rappers in this era.

Mumble rap is abundant in today's rap generation. Lil' Wayne has been using auto-tune forEVER but he's never called out on it since he's one of the legends. The problem is the missing depth in today's rap lyrics. There are rappers who consistently try to be deep and "woke" in their songs and they're good at it. But some rappers, like 21 Savage, are just mumble rap about typical "rap themes". You've gotta look for good rappers, they're usually the most underrated ones.

I listen to rappers that say the words correctly and have deep meaningful lyrics.
