Vehicle rams people on pedestrian street

A vehicle has crashed into on a street in central Stockholm the article says. Many of people have been injured and three has been mentioned dead The incident took place on Drottninggatan (Queen Street), one of the city's major pedestrian streets just before 15:00 local time (14:00 GMT)

The article doesn't say it's ISIS related or anything like that. Remember the last vehicle outside London that took place. What's your thoughts on this story?

Hey, maybe it was the Hindus this time...

What's your thoughts on this story?

I think everyone should just write out a reaction for themselves so that they can save themselves time and just copy/paste it every time something like this happens.

Here's mine:

"What a terrible tragedy, to think that something like this could happen in a western country which is usually so safe.

The article may not mention it's ISIS related like you mentioned in your post, but I'm sure they'll be claiming the attack soon. Shit heads would try to take credit if your cat got ran over and it reached the news lol

It was an awful story, I'm sure the man who did it was a known hate preacher actually from the U.K. He won't survive prison

smh. I don't appreciate you trying to seize this horrific event as an opportunity to gain the likings of other immature, rude, people on this site.

Why post on a thread that's 2-3 weeks old....

Looks like the point went way over your head.

The point is that the popular responses to these events is to hashtag, or change your profile picture, or repeat something along the lines of 'This is so horrible, why does this happen?' And the word to focus on there is 'Popular'.
Here's the rub: Why would I say something completely unpopular and take the piss out of pretty much everybody to 'gain the likings' of people?

And no, this isn't just happening on Facebook and Twitter, look back at the last few news posts about these attacks, plenty of people on this website respond in exactly the same way, the Paris attacks were the best example.

I could say that you are just trying to 'gain the likings' of dull morons by acting like you actually care about the people who died here.

Even if I said something completely popular which I knew would get likes from immature and rude people, you couldn't prove that I posted what I posted just for that purpose.
I do actually hold that opinion and I remember thinking while I was writing it, "This is probably going to lead to an argument" but I posted it anyway because I don't mind arguing with people.

Now if you want to explain to me why you think it is an immature and rude point then feel free.
I can see why you would think it is rude because it stands in opposition to people being 'sensitive' and if you laugh at people being sensitive then you are being rude. The problem is that I don't think people are actually being sensitive when they make those hashtags, I think they are doing it because they want to appear to be sensitive and they want to appear to care.

I think this because if people really did care then they wouldn't be content with doing this kind of thing every single time a terrorist attack happens, because they don't do it for terrorist attacks in the Middle East, and because - in my own personal experience - I have seen people do it and 'care' about it for a day and then they never speak about the problem again until the next attack happens.

The 'immature' aspect is crazy to me. What is immature to me is an attack like this happening and people asking, "Why does the world have to be like this?" and "Why do people do these things?"

It seems pretty obvious to me and every other adult who actually cares about this kind of thing why these attacks happen.
The people who express fake outrage and emotion at these types of things and then are actually offended and cry when we say that Islam has an extremist problem are doing their absolute best to make sure that these kinds of things keep happening.

Even if I did post it just for likes, I wouldn't care if you didn't appreciate it. Either challenge the point or leave me alone.

In what world did you come to that conclusion? He simply pointed out what he thought about the story, which is about others being hypocritical. The majority of people who read about these attacks - not just on this site - will say the exact same thing "this shouldn't have happened" "rip" and other messages that are pretty on par copy and paste. He also mentioned about people who live in a bubble thinking such an attack can't happen near them or in a Western country. Going back to the hypocrisy of others with the Facebook flag, a very good amount of those people don't really give a shit about what happened, they just need an ego boost about being able to brag and say "I support and care about what happened" but come a few days later and it's yesterday's news to them. He's not trying to horde likes from "immature, rude, people on this site" he's simply stating there are people who really don't give a shit and only pretend to do so for an ego boost; those people should just save a copy and paste of all their messages so the next time it happens, they can go spam it across wherever they read it so they can keep their ego boost about being on the "moral high ground." If you can't see that the world is not all sunshine and positive, then you're living in a bubble thinking some people won't pretend to care about an attack like this; Grimscribe was simply calling out other people's hypocritical bullshit.
