Gameplay

MMX hill climb is a racing game where you will be challenged to race to the end of the level. If you signed in with facebook you will have the chance to compete against friends seeing who got the end of the race the fastest. There is no online multiplayer but you do compete against friends ghosts. You will have a variety of vehicles to unlock and being able to upgrade them by collecting coins through races. There is only around 10 stages you can play where each one gets harder with more obstacles to go through and at some points you'll need specific vehicles to actually get fast them. There is also going to be a gas meter at the top of your screen letting you know how much gas you have left in your vehicle. The only way to refill the meter is by collecting jerry cans that around placed through the stages that you'll have to drive over. Don't be going to fast when arriving at one because you can jump over them and letting your vehicle run out of gas making you lose the race. You can also take on the challenge of playing stages and driving to drive as far as you can making personal bests and showing your friends what you got. Collecting coins in MMX Hill Climber takes extremely long but is well worth it when you're flying through the air with a tank.

Graphics

If you have every played the actual Game Hill Climber, this game is a huge step above it. This game is actually has 3D vehicles and everything. In every racing game the vehicle is the thing you'll be looking at the most and Hutch Games did an amazing job on making each vehicle look its best. Ever car has its own specific look with great detail and textures. Some have different effects for example a monster truck you'll be able to drive will have flames coming out of the engine of it. Now the background is what really impressed me in this game. Mostly every game the background will have just a plain old image but in MMX Hill Climber everything you see in the background is 3D. You'll see buildings, bridges, trees, lakes, and much more but its all 3D and in your face. The colors of this game really bring the atmosphere to a tipping point for just how beautiful the game can look at times. I found myself slowing down mid race just to see the sun shining off my cars paint and the ocean just flowing in the background. I'm really not sure how they could put so much detail into a game that's played on a phone while it runs so smooth without any visual glitches or bugs. Even the road you ride on has sun glaring off of it and just looks so real. On certain maps for example a desert stage, while at the start of the stage waiting for the countdown you can see the dirt just flying off your tires when spinning your tires.

Controls

If you have troubles or need any help with controls in this game then you're going to need to go to the doctor to get something fixed because the controls in this game are SO EASY! You have a gas pedal that of course moves your vehicle and then a brake pedal that stops your vehicle. These are the only 2 buttons you'll be pressing in this game. To tilt your vehicle all you do is press the gas pedal to move your vehicles front upwards or press the brake to move the back of the vehicle up. These controls of course can not be changed or looked at in the settings but you probably won't even think they would be in the settings.
