November 29, 2011
Scene It? is a DVD game series created by Screenlife, in which players answer trivia questions about films or pop culture. The games were first developed to be played with questions read from trivia cards or viewed on a television from an included DVD or based on clips from movies, TV shows, music videos, sports and other popular culture phenomena. Scene It? was made available as a mobile game for iPhone, iPad, on Xbox 360, PlayStation and Wii as well as two social media games on Facebook.
For a game that's age 6+, I still have troubles playing this game. Scene it? Movie Night is based on you answering questions. These are questions that can vary from watching a short clip from a film and answering questions that happened in it to figuring out the actors name or director of the movie. You will have a time limit for each question calculating the amount of points for how fast you can answer. Some questions can become very difficult if you have never watched the film before or you just cant remember the actor who played the character. From the beginning of the game, you can either choose to pick a short game or a long game. In Scene It there is variety of different movies from kids films to adult films suiting the players that are playing. There is up to 4 players competing to see who can answer the most correct questions. If you are doing terrible with all the questions, near the end there is a bonus round or some call "Lightning Round" where you can still have the chance to win. To be able to answer a question, you need to buzz in first where you select an answer and if its wrong you will lose points but for each correct answer your score multiplies.
Scene it? Movie night is great for its graphics. The layout of the game makes you feel more interested in the game. For some questions you are asked whats the films name and a pixelled film shows up. There is also coordinated backgrounds to what kind of question is being asked for example if a question for a racing movie shows up, an HD picture would show up helping the environment of the question. You cant explain much of graphics for a game where you just answer questions but its great for a game hat was created in 2011.
Scene It has its own control but you can still use an xbox 360 control or Playstation Control. The controls for this game are the easiest. A question will show up on the screen with either 4 of the buttons A, B, X, Y, (Or PlayStation controls) and you have to press which button is correct. That's it! For their controller it looks like a TV remote but with a big circular button at the top for buzz in questions. Still has A, B, X, Y on it with the pause and back on the bottom. Easy to get to know the controls and with the scene it controller it makes the game better.
