Synopsis

Just Cause 3 is an open world third-person action-adventure game that is set on a fictional Mediterranean island known as Medici with Rico Rodriguez set as the protagonist. The map size is similar to that of the setting of Just Cause 2 with 400 square miles (1,000 km2) dedicated to the new setting.

Story

played as Rico Rodriguez, he is sent back to his homeland Medici where he finds out General DiRavello, leader of the Medici Military, has taken over the land controlling the streets and towns of Medici. Rico goes through enemy bases, airfields, and even executing lieutenants of the military to find secrets to killing DiRavello. On his Journey taking back Medici, he is introduced to new alliances and even some old friends to help him take down DiRavello and his army. with the help of his friends, he is taught new gadgets and introduced to new weapons and vehicles. To take back his homeland, he needs to make some dangerous decision to help get the islands freedom back.

Gameplay

Similar to the other 2 games in the series, Just Cause 3 is an open world game which takes place in Medici. You play as a character known as Rico Rodriguez where you are introduced to new gadgets throughout your adventure and some you may find similar such as the grappling hook and the parachute. Another gadget brand new to the series is the wing suit, allowing you to get to your destinations quicker or sore through the skies enjoying the open world. But you also have a huge variety of vehicles, boats, and planes to use which can be either found on the streets of Medici or through your supply depot which you can call in anytime you want. With the whole new design of vehicles in Just Cause 3, you are able to upgrade your vehicles to have nitrous to being able to have turbo jump allowing you to jump 20 feet off the air. The only way to upgrade vehicles in Just Cause 3 is to complete races, trails, and encounters that are scattered around the map receiving gears based on how good you do on the event. Players will then be put onto the leaderboards where friends or other players across the world can challenge you. Players can also adventure the world without touching a mission allowing the player to destroy bridges, buildings, or even enemy bases to have fun or test out a new gadget they have received.

Graphics

With the new engines developers are receiving, Enix has done an amazing job with the graphics in Just Cause 3. Similar to older games, Just cause 3 brings what we see into a game. From shadows to wind effects, every texture put into this game is phenomenal. This game is set in a great location allowing you to stand on a beach watch the reflection of the sun skid across the ocean. There are also moments while using your wing suit flying through a forest, you can see the leaves and branches move as you fly past them. This game goes through day and night overtime allowing you to see an HD sunrise to a sky brightened by a full moon. Explosions are also a great feature in this game to see how good the graphics can be. Seeing a gas station or a car blowing up really brings a new level to graphics. Just Cause 3 has one of the best reflecting generators of all games allowing you to see the sun off your car to looking at the sun for 10 seconds putting you at a disadvantage for your visuals. Seeing a game mostly come to life is incredible, water flying onto your screen when hitting a big wave to seeing your screen light up in flames when blowing up shit.

Controls

Similar to the series Grand Theft auto, Just Cause 3s controls are pretty much the same. Walking around to shooting people has all the same controls and are changeable in the settings. The only thing different is flying and driving. With the Just Cause series the controls are a bit different to turning in a plane and drifting in a car. There are not much settings to change for vehicles but in my opinion its not hard to get use to.

Didn't really play Just Cause 3 a whole lot, but is a good game, I just love the fact it's a third person game which is my personal favourite. Hyped for Just Cause 4 though.
