Synopsis
Become a BMX pro and perform spectacular tricks in breathtaking locations all over the world. Your skill and imagination are the only limits to the tricks you can pull off! Impress your friends by uploading your best runs to YouTube and Facebook.

We took everything that made Touchgrind into an App Store classic to the extreme and created Touchgrind BMX. At Illusion Labs we only release games that we are extremely proud of. We feel that BMX is the pinnacle of our productions to date!

Stunning 3D graphics, amazing physics and realistic sound. Collect medals and complete challenges to unlock many different bikes and locations. Watch replays, generate videos, export to your computer or upload to YouTube and show all your friends on Facebook, by just a few clicks.

Gameplay
The gameplay in this game is very fun to play and enjoyable for long periods of time. You control a BMX using two fingers; you hold one on the handlebars and one on the seat. When you have a finger on the seat, you start to pedal, taking your finger off the screen will quickly stop you moving. To turn, you move your other finger (that is on the handlebar) left or right, depending on which way you want to turn. In this game, to show how well you did in a run, you are given a score. To get a higher score, you must perform tricks and skill moves when you are playing. There are a large number of tricks you can perform:

Frontflip - Flick both of your fingers forward and place them back on the bike to catch it when it has flipped
Backflip - Flick both of your fingers backward and place them back on the bike to catch it when it has flipped
360 Spin - Flick both of your fingers different ways horizontally and place them back on the bike to catch it when it has spun
Barspin - Flick your front finger either side and place it back on it once it has spun
Tailwhip - Flick your back finger either side and place it back on it once it has spun

For most of these tricks there are a few other versions of them, these would be 'Bottoms Up' which is where the bike is upside-down when performing the trick. Another one is 'Reverse' which is where the bike is the other way round (the handlebars are at the bottom of the screen and the seat is at the front). One other version is 'Reverse Bottom-Up' which as you guessed, is performing the trick while the bike is upside down and the other way round, this version of the tricks will gain you the most points, but also take the longest and require the most skill to perform. Combinations of tricks will gain you bonuses and gain you more points.

In the game, there are several different levels based in different parts of the world. You choose these levels by scrolling around a 3D earth and choosing the level depending on where you pan around to. These levels include:

The Docks - A freight and transportation dock transformed into a skatepark
Skyline - A highrise building still being constructed with ramps, jumps and features of the building to get around the map
Polar Ridge - A research base in Newfoundland, an island off the canadian coast
Northland - A log mill between Sweden and Finland featuring wooden track and jumps
Inca Hills - An off road skate course in the grassy mountains of Peru
West Pier - A beach park in Hawaii that consists mainly of wooden plank platforms to ride on

To unlock more levels, you have to have a certain amount of adrenaline. Adrenaline is earned by completing missions in the different levels. Each level has 12 different missions, there is a pattern in these missions as in most levels there are missions to get a certain amount of points in one jump, beat the Illusion Labs point record in the level, or doing a certain trick in one jump. Getting a certain amount of adrenaline will unlock more levels, with more missions to do. Earning adrenaline will also unlock more bikes to play with, none of them perform very differently but some people like playing with different ones.

Graphics
The graphics in this game are really nice considering it is a 3D game on a mobile device. All of the different bikes have different designs and structures. The bikes can also be given different paint jobs when you are selecting which one to ride. The models of the bikes and the maps are very neatly done, there are no scruffy or badly designed edges. The overall design of the maps are really nice, you have to concentrate as some of them have sharp turns which will ruin your run if you crash. Everything in this game is made very accurately, this makes the whole game more enjoyable and enhances the experience for those who play.

Audio
The audio in this game is very fitting to the game; when you are in the menus or navigating the world there is a funky and upbeat urban sounding tune playing in the background. I think this song suits the game very well. There are also a multitude of sound effects for different things in the game, when you successfully do a trick, be it a barspin, flip or a combination of these a quiet jingle is played. This sound nice but is also very useful as it lets you know when you have done it fully so you can then carry on whether it be land, or do more tricks.

Controls
The controls in this game are unique to games of this type; as I have already mentioned you use one finger on the handlebars to control the way you are moving, and one finger on the seat that acts as the accelerator pedal. Controls are very important in this game as to complete all of the missions and get huge high scores you must be able to perform many tricks at a time and in quick succession without failure. One mess up in a level can cost you the whole attempt so when you are going big, you must make sure that you are as careful and accurate as possible.

Facts
