Gameplay

This game made its way from the pc onto both the android and ios and has over a million users playing on it monthly. I was surprised that I never heard of this game as I'm a big fan of strategic games. Now playing this game for most of the time will require for you to have wifi, so keep that in mind. You can choose to also sign up or play as a guest, but playing as a guest will mean that your progress wont be saved. This game takes place in space so you will have to tend and control your space station while doing things like mining ore and such. In the beginning of the game they will teach you about mining ore and other material from asteroids as well as setting up defenses, upgrading your station along with ships, and much more. Your space station plays a big role in the game so maintaining it from enemy forces is a must. Once you are settled with your base you can proceed to attack VEGA forces around the solar system. You can set up multiple stations around the solar system which can be beneficial and hectic at the same time. Upgrades can be made by using gold, ore, and other material that you gather up as you play and you can buy many other things in the shop with it as well. What I like about this game is how many upgrading options you have as well as customizations. Upgrading is a very long process and there are so many options to choose from when it comes to upgrading turrets, docking stations and more. Creating ships is what I found challenging as you have to find parts for it such as turrets and shields. Everything you create has a weight as well so checking on that frequently making sure you don't go over the limit helps. As you play you will begin to rank up. When battling you want to make sure your enemy is a lower rank as you because in this game it's basically the higher the rank the better you are at least from my experience. You can attack VEGA stations for supplies and other material as well. But, one thing that I really didn't like is that the more you progressed into the game the more in app purchases became necessary to have a better time. They tend to annoy you with timers the more you play which really turned me away from playing this game because I never wanted to make any purchases. Overall, the game is very detailed and with multiplayer and more I really think this is a game to check out.

Graphics

The graphics for this game are great on my phone, but of course not as good as the pc version. This game is played from a birds eye view so that you can get a good look at the battlefield while playing. The games is 2d and you are allowed to visit any part of the solar system that you like. Every part of the solar system that you are in is extremely detailed and looks gorgeous. Every area is different where ever you go and there is a range of colors used to make the solar system look beautiful. When looking at bases, ships, and other objects they have their own mini animations to them making them look lively. For example, space stations have lights turning on and off, metal parts moving, and other things that make it look really cool. Battles look stunning including when turrets start raining fire on the oncoming ships and explosions start occurring. The user interface does look a bit confusing, but it is too difficult to learn. Animations are very smooth even on my phone and I never had any frame issues while playing. Overall, the graphics are top notch for this game and with minimal issues I think they did a great job.

Controls

The controls in this game are simple, but pretty hard to learn at first. In the beginning of the game there is a decently long tutorial to follow so that you can learn how to use the controls. The user interface in this game is very clustered so trying to find the right items to use, upgrade, and manage etc can be a problem. Since this is coming from the pc the controls are hard to use at some points including when you are trying to attack other fleets. Attacking/ moving your ships can be controlled by simply tapping in that area. You can make the AI fight for you if you would like by tapping the AI button on when in battle. You can switch views by tapping on the bottom right hand corner of the screen which allows you to go to the base, planet, and sector. Trying to zoom in to view certain areas is also tough and can be annoying. Overall, as this is basically a pc port some things are very hard to do, but it doesn't majorly impact the gameplay.
