Tiny Magnets is a new way to play platformer game.
A duet game, with two magnets, playing the same level, one is upside-down.
With just one control, tapping the screen to jump, guide your two heroes at the same time over dangers and jump onto blocks to get to the end of the level.
Any mistake will send you back at the beginning of the level. With more than 50 levels you will have to improve your skills to finish the game.
This is a new type of platformer game that I haven't really seen been done before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. In this game you play as two walking squares or as the developers call them, "magnets". Your objective in this game is to pretty much get from point A to point B. This might sound easy, but controls in this game make it a big challenge. What makes this game unique is that instead of controlling one character, you are controlling two characters at the same time. This makes completing levels hard as trying to control the movement of both characters can make levels hectic. There aren't too many obstacles in this game which I didn't really like as more variety with the obstacles would have made the game more fun to play in my opinion. Maybe more moving platforms or possibly disappearing platforms could have been added to make the game even more challenging. What I also didn't like was the lack of content to bring players back. Yes you can replay the levels, but they can be completed in less then five minutes and it gets pretty boring. There are no coins or anything else to obtain while playing which I wish they could have added as well. Something like shops for new characters or other customizations could have made this game even better and more re playable. There are around 54 levels to play which can provide you an hour plus worth of gameplay if you want to complete it as fast as you can. The game is very fast paced so you will have to quickly learn the map layout in order to complete each level. Overall, the gameplay is pretty fun, but with lack of content this game isn't really worth playing until future updates.
The graphics in this game are quite nice and very simplistic. There is not too much to describe about the graphics in this game so I will try to describe what stood out the most to me in this game. When it comes to the background drop of every level it is always the same and there are no real differences in the environment or scenery of the background. The background always has the same dull black and white look to it which I wish they could have changed during some levels. The black and white color of the map though does really bring out the blue and red colors of the characters which I really enjoy the look of. There is a good amount of detail in the characters and level design. Effects whether it be sparks shooting out from underneath the characters to explosions from losing look pretty well done. Overall, the graphics are pretty simple for this game, but I wish they could have added more effects and colors.
The controls in this game are extremely easy to understand, but very hard to use in game. As this game is so fast paced it is very hard to try to control the characters at the same time. The developers designed the levels so that you have to pre-plan your jumps and to also think extremely fast when it comes to random objects being thrown your way. In order to jump you simply have to tap the screen. In order to make the top character jump you tap the top of the screen and to make the bottom character jump you tap the bottom of the screen. You can also make both of the characters jump at the same time by tapping on the top and bottom of the screen. Sometimes I find that one of the characters jump randomly whenever I tap on the bottom or top of the screen which ultimately makes me die. Other then that I never had any problems with the controls and I think they are great.
