Story:

Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry has you playing as Adewale, a man born a slave. Adewale found his freedom when he became a pirate and then later on a assassin. You will lead Adewale into a corrupted world with you freeing any slaves as you progress through the game. As you begin to free slaves they will begin to join your cause and join the resistance. Your ultimate goal is to over throw the islands corrupted government. As you begin to gather a new crew to follow you no matter what happens and upgrading your ship you will need to loot other ships out at sea to help upgrade your weapons and other things to increase the chances of succeeding with your ultimate goal of having no one being a slave and over throwing the government.

Gameplay:

You might recall that this is actually a DLC for Assassin's Creed Black Flag which you would be correct. But this DLC was also released as a standalone game on Steam which makes it now it's own game. Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry is a really good game from the series. I personally enjoy this storyline more then the one from Assassin's Creed Blag Flag. This storyline does a really good job at sucking the player into the game and really making you want to help these poor slaves and save them and let them be free. If you have played Black Flag then you will remember Edward Kenway's first mate, well this is Adewale and this game takes place after Black Flag. As Adewale's ship crashes after a storm you really start out with nothing at all no crew or ship which really makes you feel alone. As you begin to travel through the town you will notice the horrors of slavery first hand and will have the option to set them free. The game play for this game is pretty much like any other Assassin's Creed game. You play through missions and on your way have side missions you can do. The fighting for this game is really good and I really like it a lot I think it can get really intense at times when you have a whole group of enemies attacking you at once. I also like sneaking around and silently killing enemies without others noticing. The ship you get is really cool especially sense you can upgrade it and travel anywhere you want to. The only thing I did not like was how small the actual map was. I think it really confines you in a way and does not really give you a lot of freedom. Overall the game play for Freedom Cry is really good and fun. I find this game pretty addicting to play and always am finding myself to want to stop what I am doing to play it again. The storyline is really great and really sucks the gamer into the game. I think anyone would enjoy this game and if you have not had a chance to play it yet I do recommend that you pick it up on Steam and give it a try.

Graphics:

The graphics for Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry are exactly what you would come to expect from a Assassin's Creed game. The graphics are beyond amazing and I personally really enjoy how stunning this game really looks no matter where you are at or what you are doing. I personally really enjoy the stunning view when you are out at sea with your crew and are attacking a ship to try and steal the goods aboard. I think this game makes this look incredibly realistic and I think this is by far my favorite thing to look at in this game. But when even you are on a island the attention to detail is so well done that there is always something that will catch your eye or makes the game look really realistic. I like the look of the graphics and think it helps let the gamer get lost into the game play and let the gamers mind wander while playing. I found nothing wrong with the graphics at all and thought they looked really good. Overall I do not see anyone having issues with these graphics and the attention to detail really makes this game worth picking up. I think the colors and different shades all look good and flow together quite nicely. I personally really enjoy these types of graphics and wish other games had this same type of structure when it comes to the graphical side of the game.

Controls:

The controls for Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry are really the same as the rest of the games from the series. They are pretty basic for the most part and really easy to remember after learning them once. Most of the game is played with just a few buttons and a few combinations that you will retain after a few times doing it. I like how easy the controls are because it does not make you think about the control layout when playing the game. I think the controls for this game really fit the game well and help the gamer become more interactive with the game while playing. Overall the controls are really basic and fit the game just fine. I personally did not find anything wrong with the controls and do not see why anyone else would. They are pretty easy to remember and the game does have some hints throughout the game that will remind you some of the controls while you are playing.
