Synopsis:

The most successful name in paintball games brings a host of new features as it makes its debut on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii with Greg Hastings Paintball 2! Brave the elements in the unpredictable outdoors in this intense first-person paintball experience. Get up to 20 friends together for fast-paced multiplayer action! Test your skills in brand new scenario modes, manage a team of skilled players, master a variety of new weapons, and more.

Story:

Welcome to the world of paintball were all your skills and tactics will be tested to the max. You will need to gather your best buds and get a team started so we can go to some tournaments and see how we compete with the other teams. Once we start learning the ropes and become better working as a team we will hopefully start being invited to bigger events and maybe even make it to the semi pros or possibly the pros? It is all here for the taking we just need to go out there and prove to the paintball community we are a force to reckon with. Once we start becoming known we might start adding other players to our team so we can be better overall and be able to compete with other teams. We will be seeing multiple types of games such as capture the flag and speed ball. We will also see different types of terrains from a man made course to just playing out in the woods we must be ready for anything. So with all this said good luck and have fun.

Gameplay:

Greg Hastings Paintball 2 is a very unique first person shooter (FPS). This game will test your skills and make you really think at times if you want to win the match. This game can be extremely hard to play at times and at other times extremely easy to play it all just depends on the game mode you are playing and the difficulty of the team you are going against. The game play for this game is extremely fun and a lot different from other games which you might play. I personally like playing capture the flag and trying to get the flag without being shot which is almost impossible. When you start out you can choose a few different game modes but I recommend the career mode. I found this to be the most fun thing about this game. You get to go and create your paintball team and start from the bottom and try to work your way up to the pros which is not a easy task to accomplish. As you start working your way to the semi pros you will be able to change out players on your team if you can offered it and this will in return make your team better overall. As you win tournaments you earn money to either buy new players for your team or you can buy new uniforms or even different types of guns for each of your players. I personally like this because you can make your team have different guns that can really help you stigmatize before a game to help you have the best odds of winning. Each tournament is held in a different location which also can make things either harder or easier for you to win you will go from a field to the woods and every thing in between when trying to make the pros. Overall I really enjoy this game and think any paintball fan would. It is a good game and I do recommend it to anyone especially sense it is a different style of a FPS.

Graphics:

The graphics for Greg Hastings Paintball 2 are unfortunately on the poor side of video games. I say this because even for when it was released I think the graphics could have been way better then what they really are. The graphics are not terrible I just think they could have been done better. The one thing that bothers me is the attention to detail, it really is not there and for me this is a big problem. I pay a lot of attention to detail in video games and when I do not see it I get disappointed in the graphics of the game. But even with this problem the game does have a lot of different colors to it which I like and when your paint ball hits something it actually shows it and you can see exactly what you hit and I thought this was really neat especially when you have a ton of paintball's flying around a course at one time. Overall I do like the colors and the overall looks of the graphics for this game, but I do not like that there is not a lot of attention to detail. This does not ruin the game but makes it feel like it is a lot older then it really is.

Controls:

The controls for Greg Hastings Paintball 2 are extremely easy to learn and really easy to retain. I personally really enjoy the controls for this game and really think they fit the game well. If you have played any other FPS game the controls are pretty much the same for this game. I personally like the way the control layout is and how it really helps you feel like you are really playing paintball. The controls are easy but there are tutorials out there for gamers that might still need help and the game does have some what of a tutorial that will show you the basic shooting and crouching type controls. Overall I like the controls and think they fit the game well I do not see how any gamer who has played a FPS would have trouble with the controls for this game.

Overall:

Gameplay: 9/10
Graphics: 8/10
Controls: 9/10
Overall: 9/10
