Synopsis

Dig a mine to find ores, metals and gems and make your fortune!
Sell your discoveries to buy upgrades from your profits and dig even deeper down a huge mine. Be careful not to get stuck down the mine, fall down chasms or be crushed by rockfalls!

Gameplay

With over 5 million downloads this mining game is extremely fun and interesting to play. You have to use your tools wisely to mine the ore and any other artifacts and relics you can find below you. When you have these in your backpack you can sell them for coins which allows you to buy more stuff on the marketplace. Different ore is worth different amounts of coins as well as relics and fossils. The map is pretty big which I really like about this game as it kept wanting me to play more. Your miner can die as mining certain blocks and cause a cave-in so be careful! There are difficulties to go with the game as well making for loads of fun. Sounds in this game are pretty dull and annoying. I would always mute my sound as the sfx were low quality and very loud at times. Mining causes fatigue on your character which can cause a lot of problems if you are deep inside the mine. You will find yourself regularly going to the surface to get some sleep and sell your goods. Overall this game is very simplistic and the amount of expansion that goes on in the game can make you want to play for hours.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are are sharp and very simplistic, but does not really fit my tastes. The game feels like and old school casual type of game. The game looks blocky and there is not much detail going on with certain types of ore and such. Though, there isn't much detail you are still able to tell the difference between certain items. The game looks kind of cartoony as well which I kind of like. There are a handful of colors used to differentiate the types of ore and other scenery around the map. What I wish they could have added was more effects to mining and drilling as blocks just seem to crack a little and nothing else happens afterwards. Animations are minimal in this game as well which I think they could have improved on. Overall, this game isn't really big on graphics so hopefully in the future they can improve on it.

Controls

The controls have a love and hate kind of relationship with me. The game controls are simple and shouldn't be hard to understand. You simply tap the screen in any direction to move the character as well as navigate through the menu's. Tapping on ore and other material will have the miner begin to mine it. The controls don't always work well while playing. Tapping on your screen to quickly move your character can lead to him accidentally mining a block. Also the double tap feature for ladders also can cause you to accidentally place ladders while mining. Going up ladders is weird as my character never seemed to want to climb it at all at certain times. But, although the controls can be glitchy they still do work very well in this game.
