That year, the game was not released on the PS2. On August 11, 2011, all online services were discontinued.

Story:

congratulations on making it to College and also for making a Big Ten basketball team. Sense you are new to this whole college thing let me give you some basics to follow and hopefully help you get through your first year. Now this might come as a shocker to you but school does come before basketball. No grades no basketball it is as simple as that. As you rise and become one of the best basketball player the world has ever seen, you will be faced with many obstacles along the way that you will have to overcome if you want to make it to the pros. You are something special so really do make sure to keep yourself in the gym every day and practice. Good luck with college and I will see you later on in the pros.

Gameplay:

NCAA Basketball 2010 is a awesome and very unique basketball game that throws you right into the big college life as a awesome basketball player. This game works like any other basketball game with my favorite thing being going through seasons with my favorite school and seeing how far I can get. I personally always played as Michigan. This team is one of my favorite teams and I really enjoyed being able to take them through my own personal season, which was hard at first but once I got the hang of it we started winning championships. This game has a lot of customization to players and teams that will allow you to really change the outcome of any game you play. I personally found the game play to be really fun and enjoying especially when you can go head to head against your friends and see who is the better player. The AI players move just like they should in a actual game and it really makes you feel like you are playing in a college basketball game. But this game does have a few cons as well. For once a few point guards on random teams (Michigan being one of them) can for some reason shoot half court shots and make almost every single shot they put up. This is a problem due to the fact it really ruins the game play experience for the player. Another little con I noticed was sometimes your team would just randomly throw the ball out of bounds. I am not sure what exactly caused this to happen but it was also a bit annoying when it did. But just with these few cons this game is still really awesome and fun. I really enjoyed being able to make my own player and take him through college has one of the best college players ever seen. Being able to make decisions for your young new college player is also something I found really interesting and neat. The thing that is so unique about this game is it is the last one of the series. Not another one has been made sense the release of this one which means it is a very special sports game to own if you can get your hands on a copy. Overall this game is extremely fun and addicting to play. If you are a fan of college basketball then I do advise you to get this game and try it out. I personally find it to be one of my favorite sports games ever.

Graphics:

The graphics for NCAA Basketball 2010 are pretty decent in my opinion. I think the fans look pretty good as the cheer and boo you or the opposing team. They move and jump up and down in excitement or shame which all depends on how the game is going. Because of this it really makes you feel like your playing in a big college basketball game as the crowd cheers and chants. The actual basketball players themselves look really good and pretty detailed overall. The movement of the players looks realistic as in something you would see in a actual basketball game. When calling plays the players will listen to you and go into the appropriate places in order to run the play correctly. With all the different things going on at once it can get a bit overwhelming at times but do not fear I think it personally makes you feel like your actually playing more. Overall the graphics look really good and are impressive. They really make this game fun and helps you feel like you are one of the basketball players.

Controls:

The controls for NCAA Basketball 2010 are not the easiest thing to learn. There are just the basic shoot and pass controls that the standard player can use to play this game. But to get the full potential of this game you really must learn all the controls if you want to see your team do really awesome things. The controls for this sort of stuff are not the easiest things to learn and can be frustrating at times. Some moves demand multiple buttons to be pressed in order to do something which can also be hard to do. But the basic controls are also something that are nice for new users and easy to learn. All your basic controls will be just the basic running and boxing out stuff you would see in a normal basketball game. Overall the controls are pretty decent and easy to learn basics. Learning the more advanced controls may take some time but are worth learning.

Overall:

Game play: 9.5/10
Graphics: 9/10
Controls: 9/10
Overall: 9.2/10

Extras:

With this game being the last released one of the series this game is still a bit pricey. Do not expect to get this game for five dollars because that will not happen. They are still expensive and the only reason is because of the series coming to a end. I do recommend this game to any basketball fan. It is extremely fun and you will get countless hours out of it.
