Synopsis

A great journey to the sky starts with a single step.
Through dynamic escher-style labyrinths you will reach your inner peace in this endless one-tap-one-step game.
Get higher scores to unlock new patterns and beat everyone in the leaderboard!

Gameplay

This game is developed by Ketchapp which is known for making puzzle games. This game starts you out in a platform or tile. There are two colored circles, blue and red. While one circle is on a tile, the other circle rotates around that circle and you have to tap the screen at the right moment in order to make the rotating circle land on another tile. Missing tiles will lead you to lose the game and you will have to restart the puzzle all over again. Puzzles are random so this game can provide hours of gameplay. Each tile that you land on with the circles will increase your score by one, and every 10 score you get will unlock a new pattern that will add to the difficultly of the puzzles as you play. You do not always walk on flat ground as you play though, tiles may move from side-to-side or up and down, and you may even have to scale walls at times. As you move across tiles ahead of you the tiles behind your circles will begin to disintegrate. The pace of the game varies each time as different puzzles and special tiles are random. Special tiles may make the puzzle difficulty easier or extremely hard. For example, a snail tile slows down the rotations of the outer circle making it easier to land on other tiles. Another example is the lightning bolt tile which does the exact opposite of the snail tile and speeds the rotations up. I really like the idea of special tiles as it always changes your planning for the next tile that you should land on. Also, you can not stay on one tile forever to plan your next move because as you wait the outer circle begins to get smaller and then disappears which ultimately leads you to lose the game. This game does have some problems which I encountered many times while playing. One problem I had was with the placement of the tiles and circles. I would be hovering over the tile and tapping to place my circle on it, but the game counted it as a death making me lose my high score. Ads slowed down my game greatly at times making it very hard to play. Overall I think people can get some good hours worth of gameplay in this game, but I don't see this game being to addictive to want to keep bringing you back.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are great. For this type of game I don't see graphics being a huge benefactor in the gameplay, but it does help. The background progressively changes colors as you make your way across tiles. The colors make a sunset look that really creates a relaxing atmosphere which I really do like. Tiles as well as other objects have vibrant colors which really do pop out and it looks cartoony, but awesome. The game runs smoothly when ads are not bombarding me, but other then that it is laggy at times. This 2d game looks awesome when playing as tiles and other objects such as buildings and plants smoothly fit into place and it looks really nice. Overall I think the graphics are simplistic enough to be enjoyable for this type of game.

Controls

Controls in this game are like any other game made by Ketchapp. You simply tap the screen at the right moments in order to get the circle on other tiles. Although the controls are simple, it comes with many problems. Touch recognition is a problem at times because the placement of the circle doesn't always line up with the tile when it should ending in a loss. Also ads make controlling the placement of circles difficult as it slows your game down and tends to lag it at times. Overall the controls are very simple, but they need to improve more on the touch recognition bugs and ad placement to make the game and controls run as they should.
