Synopsis

NinJump Dash is a live, multiplayer racing game featuring your favorite characters from NinJump, the mega-hit game enjoyed by millions of players around the world. You'll race against three real people, including your Facebook friends and random opponents.
The action is real-time.

Gameplay

Ninjump Dash is based off of its predecessor Ninjump. This multiplayer version tests your skills in a free for all 4 player match. When you start you have the option to choose to play multiplayer right away or if you want to play the tutorial mode. Now since this is a multiplayer based game you are going to need to login or create an account to play so all of your progress is saved. Now, every multiplayer match costs 10 coins in order to play and depending on if you get in first place or last place you might gain or lose those coins. This game necessarily isn't the best type of game to play on the go as it needs wifi or data in order to play with other people, but if you really need to play it they do offer an offline mode. When searching for a match I was instantly connected to people and was surprised on how many people still play this game. When starting a match you are given certain weapons or abilities in order to help you win. These weapons range from rockets which blow up nearby players to throwing stars which slow down players in their tracks. Abilities are awesome but should be planned for use so that you are not wasting them. Abilities range from speed boosts all the way to portals which suck the player into last place. As you are playing and getting into 3rd, 2nd, or 1st place you will be rewarded both coins, trophies, and xp. All of these help progress your player and unlock new abilities along the way. As you rank up you will unlock cards that will upgrade certain weapons and abilities so that you become victorious in your matches. These card range from double the throwing stars to super shields which protect you from more weapons. There are many different maps to play on, each with there own difficulty. Maps like Kyoto have a sunny setting with different features while maps like Stairway to Heaven are set in the night with a different atmosphere. There are also many customization options for characters like a pirate costume or panda bear costume. Each of these costumes cost coins or jades which you can either obtain or buy from the marketplace. Taunts are also available to purchase for use in mutliplayer games. I really liked the idea of playing against other people as they all have their own type of skill making it a new type of experience every game. I had a great time playing this game as it gets really competitive and chaotic. I never really experienced any glitches at all and really think this game is simple and fun to play.

Graphics

The graphics in this game are awesome and just what I would expect from this game company. They added elements of both 3d and 2d features and I really think they did a great job. They put loads of detail into every character and into every map giving off a unique presence. Every map has it's own setting with different backgrounds and scenery which makes each game feel different everytime I play. Different weapons and power ups have their own effects and sounds allowing for players to help differentiate between them. Boxes that you collect while playing have their own 3d animation with particles effects that make it look nice while running through the map. Completing races adds fireworks to the end of the map as well as spotlights and other effects. Costumes have their own effects such as dotted lines trailing behind your character which adds uniqueness to each costume you own. I think the graphics were spot on for this type of game and I really like the way they wanted to make each player feel unique as well as the maps to keep you interested the whole way through.

Controls

Controls for this game are similar to Ninjump. You essentially tap the bottom right corner of the screen to jump and tap the bottom of the left corner of the screen to use your weapons/abilities. The controls in this game are extremely simple and I got used to them right from the start. Running is automatic so you never have to worry about controlling the speed, just the jumps and weapon/ability use. The jumping and weapon/ ability use feels smooth and I never had a problem with touch recognition while playing in multiplayer. I think overall they did a great job with how the controls work as it is a simple and easy to use interface that can be learned to play by mostly any age range.
