Synopsis:

Become a zoo manager and take good care of your animal charges! Wildlife Park 2 brings you into "up close and personal" contact with more than 50 different animal species. Observe the lovingly animated, realistic interaction of the animals - with other animals, the landscape, the play equipment, or the visitors to the park! Just like in a real zoo, the animals must receive all-round care. This is as easy as winking in Wildlife Park 2: With a click of the mouse you can feed, doctor, pet, or even relocate animals, or get them moving.

Story:

Congratulations on buying your first zoo, it is now up to you to make sure all your animals are taken care of and have everything they need. Do not be afraid to do some renovation as well this park could use a new look. I would also bring in a few more animals to attract more visitors. Make sure you hire a few good zoo keepers and janitors to keep your park up and running and oh most importantly always make sure you shut the gates to the exhibits! Last thing you would want is a animal on the run. Well I think that covers the basics I hope you enjoy your new park and remember if your animals are happy your visitors are happy.

Gameplay:

Wildlife Park 2 is a zoo simulator were your job is to raise and take care of animals while at the same time you keep your zoo up and running. This game can be very easy to play and then all of a sudden get very hard to complete a small objective. But it is not all about objectives either, the main thing is running a zoo that you design to your liking and have only the animals you want in your zoo. The best example is Zoo Tycoon. This is the best way to explain it but for those of you who did not play Zoo Tycoon as a child I will go more in depth to help you get a good idea what this game really is.

So when you first start out you can either jump right into sandbox mode which I do not advise. I would start in campaign sense this is where the tutorial is at. This game can be fun at times but I never have played it for days straight. It is one of those games you will end up playing from time to time. The missions really do not have any story behind them. Every mission has different objectives for you to complete but the main goal is usually evolved around helping a local community bring in more visitors to the zoo. The game play itself can be very fun at times though, it all depends how you play the game. When you get a zoo started and get animals in exhibits they eventually will start having babies (if they are happy) which takes a long time to get but once it does it really brings in the visitors and makes everyone happy. It is not just all about the animals though either. You also need to hire staff to run your park and take care of your animals. Zoo keepers are critical to use if you don't have any zoo keepers your animals will have no way to get food or water. The last thing you want is a angry rhino on your hands. There is also a ton of different buildings for your staff and guest to interact with. This is what really makes your park unique sense you can build a outdoor food court or place your food buildings all around your park it is all up to you.

Wildlife Park 2 has more then just missions though. There is a sandbox mode which allows you to build your own park anyway you want it. Or instead you can just have your animals roam freely and let them survive on there own. I like sandbox mode a lot better then the missions. I really like placing animals down and let them roaming around and seeing how they react to each other and see which species will be dominate over the rest. Animals will kill each other to eat so be aware of this before you place a poor rabbit next to a lion. The sandbox mode is really fun and does not seem as repetitive as the campaign does. I really like being able to do what ever I want to. But I do like creating zoo's just with my imagination and watching them come to life in this game. Overall the game play is defiantly fun but it does get really repetitive after a hour or so.

Graphics:

Wildlife Park 2 looks good in general. You are able to scroll in quite close and get a good look at the animals inside the habitat and watch them as they go about there day. You can also get a good look at visitors as they walk around your zoo and enjoy the atmosphere you have created. I personally like being able to make a habitat put the animals I want in them and watch as visitors enjoy what I have created. Overall the graphics are decent, Everything seems to flow nicely and not overlap each other either. The only thing I do not like about this game is the map. It looks like someone made the map in paint that is how awful it looks. Besides that the rest of the game is pretty solid when it comes to graphics

Controls:

Wildlife Park 2 made the controls as basic as possible. It is probably one of easiest control layout I have seen in a game. Most of the game is controlled by the mouse and there really is no keys involved. The few keys that are used are something I don't use a lot at all I always just use the mouse to play. If you are having trouble with it the campaign has a small tutorial on how to play and use the controls which is always helpful. If you are still having trouble learning how to play this game I would use youtube to help. But overall this control layout for the game is very basic and easy to use.

Rating:

Gameplay: 6.5/10
Graphics: 7/10
Controls: 8.5/10
Overall: 7/10

Extras:

If you are still debating buying this game then let me see if this will help you decide. This game is extremely cheap I believe it is like $5 for it. There is a ton of fun DLC that is also like $5. So for the price of the game overall it is not bad. I find the gameplay very repetitive and gets boring after a while but it does not make the game bad. If you are looking for a Zoo Tycoon type game then you found it.
