Synopsis
Everything changed with the arrival of the Traveler. It sparked a Golden Age when our civilization spanned our solar system, but it didn't last. Something hit us, knocked us down. The survivors built a city beneath the Traveler, and have begun to explore our old worlds, only to find them filled with deadly foes. You are a Guardian of the last safe city on Earth, able to wield incredible power. Defend the City. Defeat our enemies. Reclaim all that we have lost.

Plot
At the beginning of the Golden Age, The Traveler gathered and shared its vast knowledge of technology and other ideas with humanity to help humanity become stronger with the ability to construct such structures and figures in order to maintain a stabilized civilization. As time went on, an entity known as The Darkness which with the intention to harm and destabilize all of humanity. As humanity succumb to The Darkness wrath, those that survived were forced to flee and find a safe haven. As Earth continues to experience attacks from multiple types of alien species, the Guardians, whose purpose and intent is to reclaim what was usurped from them and re-establish a civilization that is now overrun by alien species.

Gameplay
In Destiny, players are able to choose from three different types of Guardians: the Hunter, Warlock, and Titan. Each type have their own set of characteristics that are uniquely strict to each class. Items such as helmets, body armor, gauntlets, and leg armor will be available for certain types of Guardians that can only be worn by the type of Guardian its for. Players will also get their own Sparrow which is like a small spacecraft that players can use to travel faster rather than on foot. Also, players will get their own Jumpship which is used to travel to any planet or moon in the galaxy. Both the Sparrow and Jumpship can be changed for a upgraded and better looking version. Players will travel to planets like: Earth, Mars, and Venus in which players are given missions, each set with specific criteria for players to perform. When a mission is completed, players are rewarded for their efforts like new armor, weapons, other forms of currency, experience points and engrams which unlock a random weapon for either the primary, special, or heavy weapons. The outcome will be enhanced if played on harder difficulties. The engrams that are picked up or earned, players would then take those engrams to the Cryptarch to identify what engram it is and the rarity of it. Players can also accept bounties which are like challenges that award players when they meet the required criteria for the bounty. Players can also join several cults that award them with legendary armor and weapons when leveling up in the cult's ranks.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer in Destiny is somewhat similar to the multiplayer in Halo. Players will have a health and defense bar when the player is aiming at an enemy depicting how much life the player has left. The gametypes are similar to what most players have played on other fps games. The gametypes in Destiny are: Domination, the same ABC flag points dispersed on the map. The difference in Destiny's domination is that instead of earning points for holding and defending the flags, the team that earns twenty thousand points all together wins. Also, players get an bonus after a kill if holding more than one flag. The next gametype is Clash which is basically team deathmatch. Next is Rumble which is your Free For All playlist. Skirmish, which is similar to Clash but only with three players per team instead of six. Also, in Skirmish, players are able to revive fallen teamates in this gametype. The last gametype is Salvage which is Destiny's version of headquarters for those COD players. Players will be notified when a relic has appeared and must gain control of it and then defend it until it is captured before the opposing team stops them. Just like in Skirmish, players are able to revive fallen teammates. The rewards for playing in The Crucible are xp boosts, Crucible gear, and Crucible reputation. For players that are low ranked, most of these gametypes won't be available for those players to partake in so by ranking up, the gametypes will then become available. Players will fight on many planets with its own small to large battlefield. Some maps will have stationary weapons to aid in destroying vehicles. As for vehicles, the Pike will be available and the Infiltrator will be available after a certain amount of time during the match. Heavy weapon ammo will also spawn after a certain amount of time for players to use as well.

Graphics
The graphics are superb with amazing textures, variety of colors to balance out the intergalactic theme of the game, and details on each custom Guardian. With the ability to choose from three types of entities, Human, Exo, and Awoken. Players can add extra features to their characters to make them unique in their own way by having markings and their own style of hair for humans and Awoken. For Exos, players can also add unique markings to their characters as well. The variety of types of armor pieces are somewhat similar to looks if belonging to the same type like type one and type two. The overall look of the planets and moons look phenomenal and surreal. The layout of many of the planets when venturing through looks fantastic. With the variety of enemy types, each have their own set of characteristics that really stand out from one another, while others that are an enhanced version of them look more intimidating with their overall appearance. The details while venturing the moon has a lot of detail well around the entire moon. The gravel, craters, and prints all look amazing and surreal. With the structure-like buildings and ruins on Venus, one would think how structures would be like on Venus. The layout of Venus resembles more of a jungle when venturing further into th depths of Venus. The dense atmosphere and extensive growth of plants, grass, and other plant-like organisms really make venturing Venus more pleasantly. Overall, Bungie did a fantastic job with the graphics for Destiny. The superb quality of the graphics are very appealing to players and really draws the attention to detail for players.

Controls
With the game being made by Bungie, players will really see the similarity of the controls compared to Halo. For those experienced Halo players, the controls should really be up their alley and have no trouble getting the hand of the controls. Like almost every other fps game, the layout of the controls are really just the same but with minor changes and a few extra commands. Overall, if you played a fps game before for a decent amount of time, the controls shouldn't be nothing new.

Rating
Gameplay: 9.4/10
Graphics: 10/10
Controls: 9.5/10
Overall: 9.4/10

This game has been wayy overhyped. This is NOTHING compared to the Halo series. The campaign/story is boring and plain. There are way to few character models.
This game is 6/10.

You had a great review, but I personally thought the game was way too over hyped. Yes it's good and the graphics are unbelievably beautiful. But leveling to level 20 is a huge grind and I know once you hit 20 you get to do all the fun "end game" stuff, but I couldn't bring myself to keep grinding.

I'm currently playing it and I must say it is a great game. Of course the multiplayer is going to be similar to Halo... Hello!? Were talking about Bungie.
