different types of dragons which change based on the environment your exploring.
On your journey you see dragons ranging from Common to Rare.

This is fantastic while they enduring short rises of Light action.
This allows a fun adventure for whole the family.

Gameplay

Released as a launch title on Xbox one, this title introduces the power of the next generation of indie games on the Xbox one. The game has a great story with 3D movement which allows for a demonstration of the power of Next Generation graphics. The Campaign gameplay is highly entertaining, during my first impression of the game I saw few issues in the area of bugs and glitches. The game is almost completely exploration on your dragon as you blast your different levels of the game, but if you are into first person shooters or general RPG games this will definitely be a great game for you. This game is the first of its kind on the Xbox One so no game currently is comparable with it. It has very a smooth game engine, deep exploration and allows each player to become one with their dragon. The campaign runs almost perfect with no problems that affect the gameplay everything works as intended. The players perspective stays the same for the entirety of the campaign. You play as a new recruit in a dragon defense army. Once you reach a checkpoint, whenever you die you will respawn at the checkpoint but doing so costs in game points. Each level has a different type of enemy, and you will be eager to continue the story.

Controls

The controls in Crimson Dragon are very easy to pick up. At times it feels as if your dragon has a mind of its own due to the easier controls put in place. Though the game was originally set to be a Kinect controlled game Crimson Dragon ended up dropping most of the Kinect Controls before the games release however, this allowed the developers to add RPG Elements into the controls for the Xbox One. The game allows players to choose from several preset control configurations which can be done either in game or in the game's pregame menu.

Plot

After many generations have pass human colonists of Planet Draco lose contact with Earth, and reach a fragile truce with the native dragons. Soon after they then face the return of an old threat, the White Phantom. As you play through the game you teach your dragon new skills, and try to become strong enough to beat any enemy you face in combat. This being said a lot of the game revolves around the idea of team work between yourself and your dragon. Overtime time in the story you find yourself growing closer and closer to your dragon. The story is very inspiring on multiple levels. This being said the story is really something and I greatly encourage anyone you purchases it to fully watch the cut scenes to better understand the story.

Graphics

Graphics in this game are very impressive for game of this genre. The 3D movement of you and your dragon in the complex game environment are very impressive considering the scale of the games levels. Dragon customization is a unique feature of the game which adds to the flow of the game including when players evolve their dragons. The game demonstrates what is possible for the new console generation. I think it will provide inspiration many new indie game developers for many years to come.

Multiplayer

Multiplayer in Crimson Dragon very interesting, It consists of new modes but allows you to bring your trained dragon online to take on missions in co-op. Which allows you to unlock new skills, and train it to become even stronger to face any enemy online or offline. Crimson Dragon uses a simple level system similar to that of Pokemon each dragon can reach its max rank and evolve into a new form. To recieve all unlocks and dragons would take substantial hours of online and offline game play to achieve.

Conclusion

Crimson Dragon is one of the funnest games to be released on the Xbox One so far, and brought massive innovations to the console indie gaming industry. This game is a for-sure "buy" and shouldn't be hesitated if you are into Family/adventure games. This game is a must buy especially due to it being available as a Games with Gold Title. There is really nothing to stop anyone from downloading this game onto your Xbox One console, if you are obsessed with graphics you will without a doubt enjoy this game. This game is very easy to pick up and is easy to learn. Crimson Dragon without a doubt is one of the best indie titles to be released on the Xbox One console.
