Gameplay
Within this installment of the Spiderman gaming series you get to not only play as the original Spiderman, but also, Noir, Ultimate/Venom, and 2099 Spidermen as well! Something that this game features that other games within the series of Spiderman games do not, is the fact that in certain areas of this game you get to experience the game in first person and see Spiderman fight and kick bad guy butt through his eyes! Each Spiderman in this game has different play styles and means of fighting and what not. The amazing Spiderman is fast, agile, and moves very quickly. Noir Spiderman is slower, still agile, and uses stealth, shadows, and quick take downs to his advantage. 2099 Spiderman is the fastest of the Spidermen, he has a full spider wing suit, and his combat sometimes takes place in the sky. And, lastly, Ultimate Spiderman or better known as Venom, is the slowest of the Spidermen, but also the strongest and most powerful. This game is the best in the series, for me at least because they let you experience the game as many different variations on Spiderman which makes for a more fun game in my opinion. Also, the story-lines of this game go together well and are therefore easy to keep up with compared to other Spiderman games!

Plot
The plot of this game is shared between four different versions of Spiderman. The amazing Spiderman, Noir, 2099, and Ultimate/Venom! The way the plot of this game starts out is that an artifact known as the "Tablet of Order/Chaos" is shattered and scattered between the four different Spidermen. Madame Web calls upon the help of all four Spidermen and they all agree to help and return the artifact pieces to Ms. Web. The amazing Spiderman is chasing after Kraven with his great speed and agility for the artifact fragment. Noir Spiderman is using darkness and stealth to retrieve the artifact piece from Hammerhead. Spiderman 2099 is flying through the air after Green Goblin/Hobgoblin for his piece of the stolen artifact fragment. And, lastly, Ultimate Spiderman fights Electro and in the end defeats him and then all four Spidermen travel to Madame Web to return the pieces as they have promised only to have Mysterio come to Madame Web in order for more power! I feel that the plot of this game is much better written and played than previous Spiderman games, and I also enjoy the fact that you get to experience the game as four different Spiderman variations. Overall, the game is great and leaves you feeling like a real super hero once you have returned the pieces once and for all and have beaten the game!

Story
The story to this game makes for a fun and different experience that other Spiderman games just don't deliver. This game lets you, the player, take control of 4 different Spidermen, and therefore lets you basically experience 4 different games in one! The game drops you into the world of these Spidermen fairly quickly and you get to almost immediately get to play as the amazing Spiderman and start the game as him! The game is great to say the least, and is also quite a bit of good fun from start to finish. This is my personal favorite Spiderman game, and my favorite Spiderman within this game happens to be the Noir variant of Spiderman. Last but not least, I feel that this game was meant for Spiderman fans, kids, young adults, basically anyone who loves Spiderman or his game's, or someone that is just looking for a great new game to play and experience! Either way, you will love this game and I would highly recommend giving this story a chance!

Graphics
They made the graphics in this game in a somewhat cartoon sense. It still looks great, and all the Spidermen and characters in this game look how they are supposed to look, I just feel that the game looks a little better in a cartoon form rather than a somewhat realistic fashion. The game looks great from the Spidermen, to the beautiful skylines, all the way to the ground with the somewhat realistic buildings and fighting scenarios! This game looks great and you get to experience many different time spans as well as different fighting styles, places, etc all of which look great! The graphics department of this game should feel accomplished and proud at how well this game turned out. Overall, I feel that the graphics of this game compared to other Spiderman games, is much better. The reason that I say that is that I feel the graphics team of this game had an idea and stuck with it throughout the entirety of this game. Lastly, the graphics of this game doesn't feel rushed like it did on some other Spiderman games!

Controls
The controls to this game are that of many other Spiderman games. The controls for combat flow nicely as the Spidermen are usually very quick and fly around on the combat field compared to other games of today where you sit back and shoot rounds down range. The controls of this game not only flow well and quickly, they are simple to use and don't really change much even when switching between the four Spidermen! I feel that the default controller layout of this game works the way that it was intended to work and therefore I did not play on any other controller layout. However, there are multiple controller layouts to choose from should you want to play on a different scheme of controls!

Personal Note: This game is my favorite game within the series of Spiderman games. My brother and I rented this one night and took turns playing as the different variations of the Spidermen and had a blast doing so! The game is great, and was lots of fun to sit around and play together with my little brother. The variations of the Spidermen made for a new Spiderman gaming experience that other Spiderman games didn't allow the player to have! Overall, great game and well worth a rent/purchase!
