Plot
Yet again, Plankton comes up with another attempt to steal the secret Krabby Patty formula. His plan is to use his new contraption, the Duplicatotron 3000 to release craze robots to harm the citizens of Bikini Bottom, but mostly intended to use against The Krusty Krab so Plankton can finally get his hands on the Krabby Patty secret formula. Without realizing, Plankton forgot to set the commands for the robots so that they would obey his every command. Since he forgot to do so, all the robots start wrecking havoc at everything they come in contact with. Once SpongeBob finds out the situation, he sets out on a quest with a few of his friends to aid him with ending the havoc of the menacing robots that terrorize Bikini Bottom.

Gameplay
This game features a similarity to those that have played Mario World 64 or Super Mario Sunshine. Players will enter a level in which they would have to complete a task and obtain the golden spatula to complete the level. When a level is completed, players will notice that there are 8 golden spatulas in each level that need to be collected. If the spatula features a question mark when hovering over it, the player hasn't found the location to earn that particular spatula yet. Players will get to travel to locations like Goo Lagoon, Rock Bottom, Jellyfish Fields, Kelp Forest, other places featured throughout the series. Each location features mission objectives that are unique to each location. Players will encounter random socks that are displaced around the levels in the game. By collecting at least ten socks, you can return them to Patrick to obtain a golden spatula. Players will get to use other than SpongeBob, Patrick and Sandy during a mission. Certain missions will require the player to change characters by looking for a bus stop which allows the player to choose a different character. Along with each character, comes unique abilities for each of them. Their abilities could be used to perform certain moves in order to progress through the game or complete an objective. Players will face multiple types of robots, each with their own type of fighting, attack style. As the player progresses through the game, the robots will get tougher to kill and have other forms of attacks to inflict on the player.

Graphics
Considering the game was made a decade ago, the graphics were at its peak of superior quality. The textures throughout the entire map, buildings, trees, shrubs, and other landmarks were fantastic and surreal. Each of the notable characters in the game have the precise features and characteristics as seen on the show, so the accuracy was well spot on. The 3-d features in the game really made it stand out as seeing the full design of the characters and notable scenery. The robots each had their own set of characteristics to them ranging from size, appearances, and weaponry which didn't make the game seem repetitively. Each of the characters had great fluidity in movement as when running around, their arms would move and flail around as well as the lashes and hair on them. The different facial gestures given off by the characters was a cool feature to see and their gestures were easy to define as to how they were feeling. A cool feature was the sky or background would move as if the day was passing on. The flowers seen in the sky were different in colors and players wouldn't see a repetition of the same features over and over again. Overall, the graphics were fantastic during its time of debuting on the older consoles and succeeded in giving a great quality to the game.

Controls
The controls for this game were the typical controls for most adventure games. The movement and attack commands were similar to other games. The difficult part for the controls would be the different attack moves each character could perform. Some commands would require players to press multiple buttons simultaneously which to some players might find uncomfortable and difficult. Some of the controls that are used in this game are the same in the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie game. Overall, the controls are somewhat difficult in their own set preference but are common controls and commands featured in multiple games that players would have played beforehand.
