Synopsis
What lies in this spoiler is an overwhelming amount of information, viewer discretion is advise (its okay I swear)
From legendary game developer Rare Ltd. comes Kameo: Elements of Power, a larger-than-life journey full of intense combat, magnificent exploration, and innovative action that allows Kameo to transform into incredible monsters to search out and battle ever-present evil.

The future of the world depends on Kameo, who must capture, harness, and unleash a wide assortment of monsters to rescue three of her Elemental Ancestors and destroy the Dark Troll King who threatens the planet and its wildlife.

In true Rare fashion, the world is wondrous and immense, the puzzles and challenges are brilliant, and the monster-oriented combat and exploration is innovative and unique.

When Queen Theena bestowed the power of transformation upon her youngest daughter, Kameo, it ignited the jealousy of her older sister Kalus. Filled with desire for revenge, Kalus has freed Thorn, the Troll King, from his age-old curse. Now Kameo must master her new abilities, seeking out warriors and harnessing their elemental powers. Only she can turn the tide against Thorn's army, rescue her kidnapped relatives and end Thorn's threat - forever!

With an ancient spell broken and the Troll King Thorn back to blight the kingdom with his dark army and darker ambitions, young elf Kameo - gifted with the rarest of talents but cursed by her family's involvement in Thorn's release - finds she has a dramatic and challenging role to play in events to come.

Guided by the age-old wisdom of the Mystic, Kameo sets out on a path which winds inexorably towards a confrontation with Thorn himself, knowing that along the way she must tackle other matters such as the deliverance of three Elemental Ancestors whose powers have been seized by the Dark King. It won't be an easy road, but our heroine has the crucial advantage of her inherited talents: talents which must be honed to their maximum capacity as she makes her way through a world bursting with strange life and breathtaking sights. Though she is young and her powers relatively untested in the wild world beyond the castle, Kameo has the determination and resourcefulness to see this quest through to its all-important end.

With ten Elemental warrior companions to rescue and command, each with their own very different abilities, Kameo can build up an impressive arsenal as she travels towards the distant shadow of the Troll Castle. At the heart of her powers is the ability to actually morph into the physical forms of these warriors, using their individual strengths to overcome Thorn's Trolls and other enemies, and to find a way through all manner of environmental hazards. Each warrior is backed by a specific element and its own distinct natural resources, with each new form changing the gameplay considerably: progress is a matter of deciding which to adopt in times of trouble...

Kameo
The game's heroine, daughter of Theena, sister of Kalus, out to rescue the Elemental Ancestors and ultimately overthrow the Dark Troll King, Thorn. Kameo has the gift of transformation, allowing her to take on the form and abilities of any Elemental warrior that she takes as a follower.

Kalus
Bitter to the point of betraying her family and the entire kingdom when Theena's powers were exclusively passed down to her sister Kameo, Kalus' actions have set her on a dark road from which there may be no return, making her a sworn enemy of her own flesh and blood.

Thorn
The Dark King, overlord of the Trolls, sealed in stone following the last Great Battle but now free, thanks to the jealousy of one woman. As he always has, Thorn seeks dominion over the whole kingdom and all the life it contains, and will use every weapon and wile at his disposal to get it.

Ortho and the Mystic
Long-serving Royal aide, the sharp-tongued Ortho is the ideal foil for his level-headed wife, The Mystic. Kameo will have to prove herself to this unusual couple since they possess an unrivalled knowledge of the land and the Tribes that populate it, not to mention some invaluable magic.

Theena and the Ancestors
Relatives of Kameo and Kalus (Theena being their mother), and guardians of strong Elemental forces. The Ancestors grew complacent following the first defeat of the Trolls, and now find themselves in Thorn's clutches: Kameo must free them before their powers can be dangerously subverted.

The Warriors
Ten different species of Elemental warrior who can be rescued and recruited by Kameo on her journey, adding their strengths (and their physical forms) to her ever-expanding arsenal. From hulking ice beasts to nimble pugilistic weeds, there are allies to help in every situation.
* Morph-into-monster action: Transform in real-time into a dazzling array of incredible monsters each with its own fantastical strengths and fighting styles. To defeat the hordes of evil, players must strategically employ 10 elemental monsters from the five Elements of Power: Plant, Water, Rock, Ice, and Fire. Evolve Kameo's powers and abilities by tracking down, capturing, and harnessing the unique powers of each creature.

* Unleash an impressive arsenal of attacks and weaponry: With fast-paced action, loads of enemies, and massive boss encounters, success depends on the ability to think and act quickly using a boundless monster repertoire, skillful command of attacks, and keen ability to use "quick switch" combinations. Engage in up-close combat with a wicked boxing plant monster Pummel Weed, switch over to the rock monster Rubble to launch salvos of rocks, and finish off enemies as an ice yeti named Chilla by throwing penetrating ice spears.
Players have the freedom to use roughly 30 unique attack and exploration abilities, with the ability to enhance their skills through a variety of upgrades.

* Innovative combat system: A sophisticated combat scoring system will track players' effectiveness to outmaneuver, fight, and destroy the enemy. Vanquish foes with quick brutal attacks using the environment and a combination of monsters.

* Monsterous exploration: Monsters are key for combat, but also vital tools for exploration. Crafty use of monsters coupled with agility and timing is critical to unlocking new worlds, solving environment puzzles, and avoiding obstructions, traps, and enemies.
Use monsters to tunnel underground, climb ice walls, jump ramps, blow up obstacles, and much more.

* Action-packed journey across an immense world: Explore a vast and magical world filled with lush environments, wondrous creatures, clever puzzles, and big challenges. Gorgeous 3-D environments with sprawling hills, fertile valleys, and threatening lairs covermultiple fantasy-style locations and the dangerous Troll Castle. Battle relentless armies, go toe-to-toe with powerful elemental trolls, and confront daunting, yet outrageous, bosses.

Gameplay
In this game you play as Kameo, a shapeshifter set on returning her separate forms. Originally Kameo had 3 forms which allowed her to traverse, fight, and complete puzzles. Each one of her forms posses a unique ability such as being able to breath underwater and pass through lava. You can collect "elemental fruit" to improve the abilites of your separate forms, ultimately creating devastating warriors to overpower and out think your enemies. Fighting in this game is a cool experience, just being able to change into these creatures or "sprites" as they are know in the game is a wild dynamic and is really fun. A combination between puzzles and traversing as well as strategic forms in dire times provides an immense immersion in the game, leaving you feeling like you are this character and care for these people that are in need of a hero.

Plot/Story
In the beginning of this game you are sent to rescue your family, because they were kidnapped by the troll king, Thorn. How this came to be is Kameo is granted the ability to change into the elemental warriors that play a major role in this game. Kameo's sister, Kalus, grows jealous as she wanted the power that Kameo posses. Kalus then releases the troll king and leads us up to the kidnapping of Kameo's family. As Kameo is sent to rescue her family she is knocked out and loses the 3 forms she had. Afterwards Kameo is sent to rescue the elemental sprites and gain their forms to stop the troll king. You must fight through various enemies as well as bosses to release the sprites and bring you one step closer to your goal. I personally found this game's story to be quite intriguing and very fun. Playing through puzzles is probably what I enjoyed for the most part seeing as I love the mental challenge. Although this game's puzzles are made for a what I'd say younger players. This is a well done game and a joy to play.

Graphics
The graphics in this game are what they may seem and are really pretty for when this game was released and I enjoyed the magical feel of everything. I personally think this is really well done and I would like to playthrough it again, hopefully soon. I did not experience anything I would complain about, I didn't see any frame drops nor major glitches. Just like most games it did have some glitches but nothing horrible or even annoying in my opinion. That being said it was an easy fix and you could return to playing the game fairly soon. This game presented a very beautiful environment with a mystical feel with the trees you may see or how the trolls, sprites look. Pummelweed for example looks like a plant for the most part and is a menacing character. Kameo look like what she is, an elf, as you may know elves look like humans except for their ears, so the changes are there. And some of the warriors are pretty detailed, Thermite (a later warrior earned) looks like a termite except he carries a cauldron on his back and really looks like he is carrying this fairly large object with ease, and it almost looks natural.

Controls
The controls for this game are quite smooth as to change to separate forms is mapped to the X,Y, and B buttons. There wasn't much of a time delay between pressing a button and changing into a different elemental warrior. The controls are a good contributor to the environment as well as to the playstyle and feel of the game. I had no problems with any controls and they were quite easy to use. I do think that these controls were great for its time and should be recognized, cause I have seen some messed up controls in my days.
