The east vs. west conflict has raged for generations, and humanity continues to struggle to progress after a disastrous decade. New paths for peace must be found, and the US cyborg army may have found a solution: a powerful bioweapon on a distant island. Your mission is to gather information and figure out what the heck is going on.

Gameplay
This game plays almost identical to Far Cry 3, with the physical appearance changed to a bright neon world along side the bright and colorful weapons, which play like similar weapons from Far Cry 3. Like the bow for example it is nearly the same weapon just re-skinned with neon. Much like the original version of the game you can hunt, explore, or collect special items in this world of vibrant colors. The level up portion in this game is different where it isn't separated with the animal skill trees as in this version the game will automatically apply benefits. Also some players may remember the crafting to increase the ammo you might have or money, well that is not included in this version of the game. Although there are still syringes you can use to restore health. You can also choose how to approach situations whether it be stealth or a "guns-blazing" approach. Another thing that is included in this game are dinosaurs that shoot lasers from their eyes. (no, I am not kidding)

Plot
In this game you play as the completely awesome cyber-commando Rex Power Colt *insert dramatic explosion sounds here* fighting through enemy bases using your advanced weapons to plow through your foes. Your main goal if you choose to do this first, seeing as this is an open-world game is to track down an agent that has gone rogue. You and your commando buddy Spider are sent to investigate an island where you find Col. Sloan which he therefor reveals what he has done and kills Spider and leaves you unconscious. You must complete certain objectives like defend scientists and overpower enemy forces to reach Sloan and confront him on his devious plot and expose him as the villain he is.

Story
The story to this game is needless to say really really fun and wild, just playing in this world is an experience in itself. How everything is told and viewed is simply makes you feel like this super-soldier that you play as. I really like the fact you don't really have to play story missions first if you wanted to explore you could, but the missions are just an amazing thing. Leaving choices up to the player by taking on an enemy base with just a bow and arrow, or with explosives and a chaingun. All of it really makes you feel like an elite at what you do and its all a blast from beginning to end, you just feel like almost part of the game, which is a really good thing.

Graphics
The graphics to this game are ran off the same engine as Far Cry 3, so they are amazing. With this game though you are surrounded with colors and it looks really cool, everything is vibrant and neon. I personally like how this game looks and I like the fact that it runs smoothly just like the original Far Cry 3. In this game the background is for the most part dark, so the colors stand out (pictures can be used to help visualize.) The graphics for this game are well done just like in Far Cry 3. This world is really something that can't be measured without actually seeing and playing in it. In reality it is truly a spectacular world.

Controls
The controls for this game are identical to the original game, So they fit well for this version. As far as preset controller layouts, I'm only aware of the one set as I didn't really need a separate layout. The controls are easy to adjust to, so that is a bonus. The controls in this game are quite fluid and they are in good access to go from driving to executing takedowns without ease. I really enjoyed the setup for these controls as they were similar to a normal layout for a shooter like Call of Duty. The transition from another game to this is minimal thanks to the similarity.

Ratings
Gameplay - 9/10
Plot - 9/10
Story - 8.5/10
Controls - 8/10
Graphics - 9/10
Overall - 9/10

Personal Note: I had a lot of fun with this version, just as well as the original Far Cry 3. I heavily recommend playing this if you've beat Far Cry 3 as well as if you haven't cause you don't actually need the original game to play this one. If you have the money to get this, I definitely suggest purchasing.
