Gameplay
This is a racing game produced by Disney! You start the game in a fictional reality TV show where competitors race for money and glory! Throughout a race players can build up their "power-play" meter by preforming stunts such as jumps and precision driving such as drafting and drifting! When you have a full meter you can trigger things such as shortcuts and slow motion for cinematic purposes, obstacles for other racers, and map altering effects! There can also be triggered by the AI opponents!

Plot
You are a driver for a TV show known as "Split/Second" where racers are timed against the clock as well as each other. Each racer is also rewarded with a "power-play" meter in which it slowly fills when the racer does what they are supposed to like drafting and or drifting, hitting jumps, etc. There are a total of 72 events within this game that stretch across 12 episodes. With different modes like survival, air strike, and air revenge you have a number of options other than the regular story to keep you having fun even after you have beaten the game.

Story
The story is actually really fun to think of yourself as like a stunt driver/TV star. The game is a really fun turn on a racing game and it is also cool that the AI/human players you race against can also use the power-play meter that you get to use which makes for a great racing experience as well as a more realistic gaming experience considering that it isn't JUST you that is able to change things or make it harder for other racers! It makes for a different, but yet still fun game and one of my favorite racing games ever!

Graphics
The graphics in this game are great! The game is designed by Disney and say what you want about them but they have some excellent designers and animators on their team. The sunlight hitting the cars looks real. The cars don't look cartoonish and fake. And, lastly, the race tracks and ares that you get to race in look amazing. They did this game some justice with the graphics and what not!

Controls
The controls of this game are quite nice. They are the same as most other racing games, but also different in the fact that they feel different because of the power-play meter and what not. The fact that you are a fictional TV star and a stunt driver makes the controls feel that much more smooth because you are able to pull off sick drifts and amazing slow motion jumps and what not, easily!

Multiplayer
The multiplayer in this game is actually quite fun! You can either play with a friend in a head to head style, or go online and fight against other racers in a challenging and fun race! It's a great experience to play the multiplayer section of this game, and is matched in greatness only by the campaign! All in all, it is well worth your time to play and might even end up being your favorite part of the game!

Ratings
Gameplay - 8.5/10

Multiplayer- 8.5/10
Overall - 8/10

Personal Note: This game is one of my favorite racing games, and one of the best Disney games that I have ever played. I was skeptical because it had Disney's logo on the case of the game but I was proven wrong when I actually started playing the game. It is quite fun and even more so when you play with friends! Well worth a rent and maybe even a buy if you like racing games/Disney games!
