Developers: Electronic Arts
Publishers: Electronic Arts
Platforms: Playstation 2
Genre: Racing
Players: 1-2

Synopsis
Pull big air and do boss tricks! Sound like a skating game? Nope, it's EA's latest racer, Rumble Racing. Each of the 15 tracks has huge shortcuts and hidden features. Find a ramp and pull a trick in the air, and get a big speed boost as a reward. Thirty-five souped-up cars are available. Multiplayer options include both competitive and cooperative play, a rarity for racing games.

Gameplay
Rumble Racing will offer players with fun and explosive ways to wipeout their opponents to gain their way to the top. Players will get to use over 30 different types of vehicles that can be upgraded to compete against the higher ranked racers. Players will get to race in 15 different tracks, each harboring its own series of shortcuts that will give players an advantage over their competitors to achieve first place. Players can participate in tournament mode by themselves or cooperatively with a partner to gain the most points in the series of races in the tournament. The exhilarating part during the race is that players can perform stunts while in the air to obtain nitrous boost for a small duration of time. The better the moves perform, the more nitrous gained after each combination, as well as a successful landing along with each set. Along with each track, hides a hidden Easter egg which upon collected, unlocks a special and unique vehicle for players to use. During a race, players will get to use power-ups such as super traction, which enables players to easily perform sharp turns and maneuver easily. A shock wave which blasts other racers in the air that are nearby. Even a tornado which sucks up any racer and flings them to the side of the track. As players progress through the game, they will unlock higher tier classes for each vehicle which increases the stats of each car, as well as adds a better and unique look to the car as well.

Graphics
Although an old game on the older consoles, Rumble raving offered great graphics during its time. For the most part, the graphics and textures upon the structures and tracks are sleek and clean for the most part. The various designs for every car are unique to each one and are greatly detailed with the array of colors used on them and really makes certain vehicles stand out from the rest with the bright colors. The nitrous affect on the car's exhaust is supreme and looks surreal. When using nitrous, the screen becomes blurred as if your actually in the car traveling at such tremendous speeds which is also surreal. The trees and other nature backgrounds look vague in the way they are shaped and formed, mostly repetitions among them so there lacks variety in those aspects of the game. Overall, the graphics are supreme and well created for its time. Although the background does give that vague look to it, the amount of action really keeps players from actually observing their surroundings of the track.

Controls
The controls are nothing too different from may other racing games. The only thing that separates the controls from other racing games is the stunt button. Apart from that, everything else is basically similar in many ways of games in the racing genre. If players had played Nascar Rumble, they could easily examine the similarities between both games. Overall, the controls are quite simple for this fun and exhilarating racing game that is sure to attract players for its easy control scheme.
