Synopsis
Project Gotham Racing 3 (PGR3 for short) is an arcade-style racing game that was released with the launch of the Xbox 360 on November 22, 2005 for the US market and December 2, 2005 in Europe, and was released on January 12, 2006 in Japan. Developed by Bizarre Creations, it is the third instalment in the Project Gotham Racing series. Project Gotham Racing 3 was rated by Official Xbox Magazine (OXM) to be Xbox 360 "Game Of The Year" (2005). OXM also rated it "Best 1st Person (Not Shooter) of the Year", because of its realistic inside-car view.

Gameplay
The races take place over multiple countries in multiple settings (day/night races), this is excellent in keeping a good variety to the backdrop to the races and keeps the gameplay fresh. There is a multitude of cars to unlock and race from many different classes with over 80 licensed cars in the game. The main mode allows you to start in small time races and build your way up getting more respect and better cars and you face tougher competition as the game progresses. There is multiple camera angles from 1st person to 3rd person which allows the player to select whichever he prefers. In the game you can earn a "currency" called kudos which you can acquire by doing things like drifting in game, this means that you can often change the way you play to earn more and string together combinations, this is a catalyst to keeping the gameplay fresh. You can also select different settings like whether the line markers that tell you where drive and when to brake to get past a corner perfectly will appear and whether the car is manual or automatic or semi, this increases the difficulty but makes it more rewarding.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer is quite basic with only a few different modes such as regular races and time trials. However like the single player there is a large number of cars/tracks to race your friends on, this makes it a very fun aspect. There is also a ranking system in place and tournaments were held on PGR 3. Overall I'd say the multiplayer was decent but not as good as the single player and could benefit from more game modes and more work put into it.

Graphics
The graphics on this game are very good considering when it came out, the colours are very nice and the cars look super detailed and very realistic. The weather, lighting and shadows in this game are simply beautiful and really help set the tone. The sky looks incredible on this game and is one of the best things about it as it looks so realistic. The best graphics though are when you look at the cars in the garage the lighting there is perfect and makes everything feel so real and look so vibrant. The crowd look very nice and the variety of maps are all very good graphically. I will add a couple of screenshots below so make sure you check them out.

CONTROLS
The controls on this game are very good and feel very responsive. What makes this game great control wise is the ability to manipulate the settings on the cars, whether it be automatic, semi, or manual this means that the controls can be made harder for more experienced players or easier for newcomers. The button layout is very well thought out and makes full use of the controller it makes it easier when playing which is really important when playing a racing game. The controls are fantastic.
