Synopsis
Army of Two: The 40th Day is a third-person shooter video game that is developed by EA Montreal and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable. It is the sequel to Army of Two. Army of Two: The 40th Day was released on January 12, 2010 in North America and January 15, 2010 in Europe.[5]
The 40th Day focuses on two-player cooperative play and employs a cover system. It features Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem, the two protagonists from the original game, as combatant partners who, with the assistance of their handler Alice Murray, must fight to survive and prevail over invading forces that have engulfed Shanghai, China in a devastating terrorist attack.

Gameplay
The gameplay here is similar to other third person shooters but has it's on twist on the already proven formula. One of the best features about this game is it's co-op, there is no doubt that this game is best played with a friend so you can organize tactics and feel like a real army of two. However if you can only play it on your own the AI of your partner is really good and you can give commands such as attack and hold etc. There is a variety of weapons and practically unlimited customization this is really good and makes the game extremely fun to play. The 3rd person system works really well and they have done a great job with the cover system on this game. The gameplay runs really smooth and the missions are set in different locations with different objectives so the gameplay doesn't get stale.

Story
The story of this game revolves around the 2 characters Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem a duo of mercenaries that are working together to protect Shanghai from ongoing terrorist conflict. The story for this game is compelling and has you gripped from the beginning leaving you wanting to find out exactly what will happen next. This is second only to the great partnership that these two characters Tyson Rios and Elliot Salem have and how their relationship develops and changes throughout the game. You really do get immersed into their worlds and you often empathize with them even though they are guns for hire this especially deepens when you have to make decisions for them at a critical point in the game.

Multiplayer
The multiplayer in this game is either split screen or online co-op. This mode is exactly the same as the story mode above but played with two people instead of one person and one AI. Due to the co-operative nature of this game, the multiplayer co-op is by far the best way to experience this game, don't forget that teamwork is they key. What reall makes this game awesome multiplayer wise is that it really requires good teamwork and communication is essential, especially on the harder difficulties you will need to co-ordinate a lot more and make sure you have the right mixture of offensive and deference gameplay. Other than this there are 4 game modes, Co-op Deathmatch is basically 2v2 and you have to try and get the most kills. Control is a king of the hill style game mode where points are given for being on the hill. Warzone has fighting for a number objectives and finally Extraction is the mode where teams of four players fight of waves of enemies so they can be extracted. These game modes are really good overall. The multiplayer has a really great variety and is fun to play.

Graphics
The range of locations in which the game takes place offered the developers a great canvas into which they could have made the visuals amazing. However they have only half delivered on this. The graphics are decent but there is definitely room for improvement in textures and face models. That being said it doesn't detract from the experience in anyway.

CONTROLS
The controls are decent but can feel clunky on occasion by this I mean that it can take a long time to aim where you want and adjusting the sensitivity makes it feel out of sync. There are several presets available to choose from to customize the controller setup, from defualt to tactial set ups this basically changes the button layouts and makes it so certain things are moved for example moving grenades from one bumper to the other.

Ratings
