Synopsis:
Welcome to Chernarus
A 225 km2 open world post-soviet state and one of the areas hit by a new and presently unknown infection which has wiped out most of the world's population. You are one of the few who have survived and now you must search this new wasteland in order to fight for your life against what is left of the indigenous population, now infected with the disease. Go Solo, team up with friends or take on the world as you choose your path in this brutal and chilling landscape using whatever means you stumble upon to survive.

This is Dayz, this is your Story

Plot:
Arma II DayZ Mod is set in an apocalyptic Russian map: Chernarus, where a virus has infected over half of the population into zombie like creatures. You must survive by scavenging for resources and supplies, while trying to defend yourself from other hostile players. The game is one of the best zombie games I have played with infinite possibilities. ARMA II DayZ is a multi player game only but is perfect since you create your own stories through playing multi player which gives the game uniqueness and addictiveness.

Gameplay:
ARMA II: DayZ Mod, is one of the best games I have ever played. I moved to pc just for this game and have not looked back since, the game has infinite amount of things to do to stop repetitiveness and other things. When playing the game there is a certain learning curve that is used by all players. This includes becoming smarter and laying out different strategies and tactics in order to survive the apocalypse. The game has unique dynamics and a range of variety in the game play. In order to survive the player must scavenge for Food, drink and other resources and supplies. Their are a variety of guns in the game which create awesome sniper game play to close quarter missions to loot towns and villages. The player can die from a range of things; players can receive broken bones, which can be cured using morphine. When losing blood the player must bandage and blood bag, because if your blood gets too low you could pass out and die. The player can also go into shock from bullet wounds, receive diseases and infections. the game is really realistic and amazes me still, of the amount of options you have, it's crazy. The one bad thing about the game is that it is poorly optimized and can run terribly on decent gaming computers, which causes problems. Please buy the game and try it out you will be amazed.

Graphics:
The graphics in ARMA II DayZ Mod are impressive but are also not the best, the game features a variety of options and customizations which can be controlled by the user, to make the game prettier or just to run smoother(since the game is poorly optimized and has frame rate issues.) so this is a really huge bonus. The game has dynamic lighting, realism and 3D visuals and textures. Upon playing the game I have had frame rate issues especially in cities, (I can Max battlefield at 60+ fps) so this game just shows the poorness in the optimization, The games graphical aspects also feel unique and I have not came across a game that has graphics like it. I have been in some situations where the game has created some perfect visuals for screenshots. When maxed the game is pretty with perfect sun rays casting onto the player created unique shadows that form over the wilderness and the rays that pass through the trees, the games graphics can definitely be breathtaking and even though the graphics are not a solid build and are poorly optimized the game is still very good including everything else too.

Controls:
The controls in the game are very good, they feature a bunch of controls and there is so many things you can do, so this requires multiple controls. I got used to the game very easily and the controls I had nailed in about 3 hours of playing. The button registration is very good too, and I didn't notice any ghosting. The controls are well layed out and some thought have been put through this, also if you are not liking a certain setup you could always customize your controls in the options and bind them to anything, if you have extra buttons on your mouse that always come's in handy. I'll post some of the controls here: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

Ratings:

Conclusion:
This game is definitely worth buying; you'll love every minute of it. I did! Thank you for reading my review, The plot of the game is hard to review since the game is online only, but other than that I hope it was a good clear Review, I'm trying hard to get the Game Reviewer Badge, also because I enjoy playing games then giving my honest opinions on it: so on to the next.
