Synopsis
In Deus Ex: Human Revolution you play Adam Jensen, a security specialist, handpicked to oversee the defense of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. But when a black ops team breaks in and kills the scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes. At a time when scientific advancements are routinely turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super-enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path. You need to discover why - because the decisions you take and the choices you make will be the only things that can determine mankind's future.

Plot
Adam Jensen, a security manager is making a flight to DC to attend a meeting at Sarif Industries. The meeting was to show the special enhancements of augmentations on among the people who are equipped with the augment. Later on during the meeting, Sarif Industries comes under fire from unknown enemies. Jensen becomes critically wounded by the attackers. Scientists had discovered Jensen in a critical state after the enemies fled the area and took Jensen to their lab. Oblivious to Jensen, the scientists began to implant their augment into him which would give Jensen various abilities and enhancements to make him durable and strong. Jensen then returns to Sarif Industries months later to secure and collect significant data and keep it confidential. Jensen then travels out on a quest to find the so called "hacker" to stop them from obtaining data from the industry.

Gameplay
Deus Ex offers a wide set of various things to do around the many cities the game offers. Players will have to be stealthy, patient, precise, and wise when completing a objective. By not being either one or multiple ones, the player will alert more enemies and will be engaged by the enemy in a gun fight. Players will be able to hack computers and doors while some will require a higher level for hacking which players will ave to upgrade Jensen's augmentations. The player will also engage various types of enemies including robots that have unique specializations to them. Players will be able to use a wide sort of weapons at their disposal and be able to purchase health packs, ammo, and other various items. Players will also be able to subdue their enemies if they are stealthy enough and haven't alerted any enemies or just snap their necks WHICH makes players ineligible to earn an achievement or not killing not one single enemy in the game, excluding robots of course. Players will also be able to upgrade Jensen's various augmentation abilities to higher levels to increase their durability.

Graphics
The graphics in Deus Ex were phenomenal. Each character had extremely nice graphics and had the great fluency of the way the mouth moves as they were speaking. The textures amongst the various types of buildings were well detailed and had a great variety of colors in the mix. The designs upon Jensen's outfit are spectacular and really has that futuristic look to it as if he is part anatomic. The blood shed and splatters look remarkable and has the right sound effect that goes with it very well. The weather in the game was also fascinating to view, as it look so realistic when hit the walls of buildings and landed on the ground, creating puddles of water. The lettering among the various signs and buildings are detailed enough to read from both close and from afar and blend with the background color well to have a more clearer look so it wouldn't fade in to the dark colors. When performing the execution moves on the enemies, you can see the saliva that comes out from the mouths of the enemies when they get delivered a nasty blow to the face, as with the blood as well. The effects of the glass on windows, explosions, demolishing buildings and other structures features that realistic effect especially when the buildings crash into the ground and reveal a dark cloud of debris rushing overhead. The weapons also have that futuristic look to them as well. Even the minor objects like boxes, crates, and other miscellaneous items have that precise and realistic look to them.

Controls
When playing on the console version of the game, the player is very likely to use about every button on the controller which have their own action commands and some perform another command when holding down the button. Probably for some experienced players will have to get use of the controls as the button layout for certain commands that are often seen in many games are totally different and will have the player place their fingers in certain places that may seem weird or uncomfortable for their first time playing. if the player decides to use any special ability, the directional pad is all that is needed to use them. The unusual commands for this game does prove its difficulty with various player of genres but shouldn't be too drastic to function properly.

Rating
Gameplay: 10/10

Overall: 10/10
