Synopsis
Skylanders: Swap Force is a platformer video game developed by Vicarious Visions and published by Activision. It is the third main game in the Skylanders video game and toy franchise, following 2012's Skylanders: Giants, which was a direct sequel to 2011's Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure.It is the first Skylanders game to be released in North America before other regions, unlike the previous two games where Australia got the installments first. This is also the first Skylanders game not to be owned by Vivendi.

Gameplay
The gameplay for Swap Force is very similar to the previous games, Skylanders: Spyros Adventure and Skylanders: Giants. The player playing the game has these little "action figures" and he puts them on a portal and when he does it will link to the game and your playing as that character. Once you purchase the game depending on which thing you got you get 3 characters for the starter, and pre-orders get more characters. They have added new characters to the game where you can take apart there bodies and put it on another character, so if you do this you can have a mix of powers on your character parts you mixed up. One bad apart of this game is that you cant use your old portal in the other games, you have to use the new one. There is 16 characters top and bottom leaving 256 combinations of characters. There is a story mode in this game and a multiplayer mode. In story you just go on missions helping all the people around trying to defeat the bosses and save them. In multiplayer you face your brother or sister and try to defeat the other opponent. I really liked playing this game its just that it was boring once you beat the story mode of it.

Graphics
I really see a big increase on graphics in this game from the previous ones. The colors of this game are so contrasty and are full of life which is fantastic. The very first cut scene of this game impresses the player; it shows amazing effects, it shows all the new features in the game, and has a little action scene. It also shows the plot of what is happening in the world. In the very first level if I remember it is awesome! Your on a lava boat going down a volcano and your boat parts or rocks are flying at you and it looks insanely good. Lava will be flying every where and it just looks sick. When your going down the boat it will give you a little guide on all the controls of the game. Then it will show your enemies depending on which difficulty you chose. You then get to fight them off showing all your moves you have and one with the squid guy is cool. You spin and slice your sword with your ink going out every where. I really love the graphics of this game they are really good with great effects. I say there is no improvements needed what so ever.

Controls
Im not to hot on the controls, but when I played the game it was easy to use. I believe there is only 3 main controls that you really need to know and that is X, A, and Left Joystick. Well Left joystick is to move around your character, A is to make your character to jump and X is to attack your enemies. You probably realized that they added a new thing, which is A to jump. In the others your not allowed to jump. When upgrading your character to learn new attacks etc. You might need to press X and B or something like that to activate your new attacks. When seeing gems on the ground from other things you can run over the gems and pick them up, these gems will help you get more upgrades for your characters. I really dont see much to talk here about controls, I mean its three little buttons that you need you need to know in order to play the game.
