Info
Title: Shattered Horizon
Genre: Action, Indie
Developer: Futuremark
Publisher: Futuremark
Release Date: 4 Nov 2009

Synopsis
Shattered Horizon is an innovative game from Futuremark Games Studio that immerses you in the cold reality of combat in space like no other game before.
This first-person shooter is played entirely in zero gravity. A catastrophic explosion on the Moon has filled near-Earth space with billions of tons of rocky debris. Join intense 32 player battles to control hollowed-out asteroids, huge fragments of Moon rock and the ruined remains of the International Space Station.

Gameplay
This game doesn't have a single player as such, more of a training mode for online play but against bots. This game is very fun to play with astounding physics. It is set in space (As you can probably tell from game cover) and it feels perfect to play, the amount of guns you can choose from is really good. I have had this game in my Steam library for years now, and I always find it fun to play, it's one of those games where you can leave it for a while then come back and play it six months later and it feels like you never left it, so for that reason a lone it's brilliant in my book. Now I'm not entirely sure of the aim of the game, but i just shoot the enemies and seem to get points. So on that front it's not the best explained game, but inline play is very very fun. Playing this game with friends is one of the funnest moments I've ever had. You have a jetpack for movement controlled by the SPACE and SHIFT for up/down movements. It is just such a fun game to play.

Graphics
The graphics are truly brilliant within Shattered Horizon, the images this engine can produce are such high quality, the textures of each map are brilliant with true to life textures, all the buildings have great structure to them along with the player models, these also have top notch detail to them. The space suits used, are identical to the real thing, I couldn't tell you the difference between them, other than one is real and one's in a game. The models of the guns are very impressive with yet more high detail. But my favorite part is the UI at the start, it looks absolutely epic with a hovering effect on the menu's. Truly astounding job on this, who ever decided to put this much effort into the details, my hat is off to you!

Controls
The controls are very very well laid out for any first person shooting game, like i mentioned above. SPACE and SHIFT control the height of the player using the jetpack while WASD is to move in the corresponding manor. Using the button E brings out a sort of space flair gun, depending on how long you hold the fire button in defines how long it will last, I have never come across anything like that before, and I'm not sure i will again. That is such a brilliant feature, but makes such fun. The key C is for the boost, it acts as a sort of sprint button, but only lasts for about 3 seconds before running out, it takes about 30 seconds to recharge. If you find the layout a bit tricky, you can always use the built in button mapping system, it is very easy to navigate, just like the rest of the game.
