Synopsis
Granted I just got into the Indie games and after browsing the hundreds of titles this one stood out in a big way. Try Not to Fart is a game developed by Silver Dollar Games. For Indie games, this developer uses very simple concepts and makes some interesting games out of them. Try Not to Fart takes you through the love grind as you play a dude who is out to find true love while holding in his gas.

Gameplay
This game is possibly one of the weirdest games I have ever played. The game consists of a man trying not to fart in public and embarrassing yourself or your girlfriend. This indie game surprisingly has 3 game types; Tutorial mode, Story mode, and Hardcore mode. In tutorial mode it just gives you a good feel on what exactly is going on and what you need to do. Story Mode will be talked below and what it is like. Hardcore mode is a mode that can be awarded to the player after they beat the story or campaign mode. All it really is, is a harder version of the game and makes it more of a challenge for you since you know what to do. It is a one player game of course, why would there be a two player game in this weird kind of game. There is one thing about this game that I found really good was that you dont get one life, so if you mess up you get about 3-5 more times to redeem yourself and win the level. I really like this game because it is funny and gives me some laughs. It also is funny to hear every ones reactions to the fart haha.

Story
In this game that most indie games dont have is a story to it well here it is. Your a man who starts to meet a girl at a bar. You then ask her out to dates and she keeps saying yes. The only thing is that some of your best love moments can be interrupted by you having to let slip out. So you the player has to hold that in or your girl will start getting embarrassed and leave. It has a three character set-up on each level like you, your girl, and a waiter or waitress. All the situations you start to feel sorry for the poor guy and what he is going through. If you start farting all over the place the girls bar will go down and it will end up with your girlfriend yelling at you and screaming. But if you win you guys end of getting married and loving each other forever.

Graphics
The games graphics arent to bad for a indie game like this but there alright. The game has little simple cartoon characters that look as the South Park animators would have done. The one thing about these characters is that they dont necessarily look even like one arm looks bigger than the other. There is another thing about the dialog in this game I dont like either, it is not on the right cue. You will ask a girl hey where do you work and then she will end up saying something like, "I dont like action movies" or "Im hungry". If the dialog was all in the right order it could have made this game better. If your guy starts to fart green gas will slowly start to spread all over the room and people will be like "Eww whats that awful smell". You can also see when a fart is coming because your character eyes will get bigger. Each game has different scenarios which made it look like the developers took some time into making the game.

Controls
The controls of this game are simple and easy to understand. It can use all buttons on the xbox controller however its not that bad as you think it is. On the top of your screen it shows all of your buttons and when the button gets highlighted you are either going to need to press it super fast or take your time with it. The catch is, is that its not gonna be like "A" to "B", it is gonna be like "X" to "LB". It gets your fingers all twisted up just trying to make you mess up. the thing about this game that was good was that it gave a tutorial mode. Well in tutorial mode it explains everything about the game and the controls and what you need to do. I really like the way they went about with the controls of this game not making it hard or anything.

Nice review this game is very juvenile though.
Pointless and boring but you did a good job on the review.
