Synopsis:
The fourth installment in Polyphony Digital's extravagant PlayStation racing franchise features even more cars, courses and race modes than ever before. Gran Turismo 4 uses an all-new physics engine coupled with revolutionary technology to deliver enhanced game physics and graphics providing a near-realistic automotive racing simulation. New and enhanced racing modes include: GT Director Mode/B-spec, GT Photo Mode, GT Career Simulation Mode and GT Arcade Mode encompassing more than 200 championship races, highly detailed car customization and many other innovative options to set the bar as the most complete racing game available. Though initially promised online options were removed from the title, the final features list clocks in with a whopping 700+ cars, more than 100 courses and plenty of unique surprises for automotive enthusiasts.

Gameplay:
Gran Turismo has to be my favorite racing game still to this day as it literally just had everything for a racing game. It has over 700 cars from 80 manufactures, the price of the cars are very spaced out since you can buy a car with 2500 credits and then some cars can be in the millions.
There are 51 tracks in this Gran Turismo including my most hated track the Nurburgring Nordschleife.
You can have different types of racing in this Gran Turismo like 1on1 races, normal tournament races, and 24 hour races. There are also licenses which you have to do to compete in some races.

Graphics:
The graphics have greatly improved since the last one and in my opinion are still great to this day. This game I think possibly had one of the best graphics for the time it came out. The great thing about the games graphics would be the fact they spent an equally amount of time on each car not like making duplicates of each other and just making small changes they literally though about each car singularly and since they were over 700 that's pretty amazing in my opinion. Each track as well looks like it had a lot of work put into it since even the crowds in the tracks have improved by quite a bit and the tracks themselves have phenomenally improved since the previous ones.

Controls:
The controls are too confusing, they can be easily understood if you play it often. The confusing part about the controls would be if anything changing gears or camera view but to me nothing was really confusing. The games controls will most likely be instinct if you have played a normal racing game before since they are literally the same controls if not exactly the same. The controls also could get a bit over the top if you play on manual controls since you have to think about how hard you brake and then you also have to change gears at the right time so in my opinion there it could become a handful.

My Ratings:
Plot:N/A
Gameplay:9/10
Graphics:9/10
Controls:8/10
Overall:9/10
