Synopsis
nspired by the Warhammer Fantasy world, Blood Bowl is an ultra-violent combination of strategy and sports games.
The Legendary Edition features 20 playable races, including 11 that are totally new, each offering its own game style! Make a competitive team, train it and buy the best equipment. Brutal victory after victory, improve your players' skills to make them into true Blood Bowl players!
This is a no holds barred bonecrunching sport! Even if tactics are your favoured route, you can also choose from a large selection of incredible and vicious moves: bribe the ref, devastating spells or illegal weapons

Gameplay
This game is not for me, it's a fantasy board game. I'm not into board games at the best of time but when it's paired with a fantasy story line. It is very hard to grasp the idea of the game really, it took me about 15 minutes to understand what to do. The tutorial is useless to, it don't help at all, it just tells you what buttons to press and when, but when you don't understand the game you're playing it just gets boring. The physics of the game are decent however, which was unexpected for a game of this size.

Graphics
The graphics are okay for this type of game, it's a fantasy game. So they're never going to be brilliant, the detail of the grass is the best part about it really, it can actually be identified as grass which is unusual for games with graphics like this. The detail on the players is good too, the models are a bit exotic but they are decent models used. The scenery is also quite detailed with chanting spectators in the stands. Playing on the highest detail setting really really helps things of course, but the difference between High and Highest is massive...

Controls
The controls are easy to use, they have gone for the standard mouse and keyboard layout for over-head 3rd person games. You'd need to play through the tutorial before playing this game as some of the keys are in weird places, but once you get the hang of it they're easy. You can map certain controls to your gaming mouse (if you have one) which is very handy as that's all you need then. I hardly use the keyboard now as all the useful commands are on my mouse.
