Synopsis
Confrontation is a tactical RPG for PC developed by Cyanide. Based on the universe of the board game of the same name by Rakham, Confrontation focuses on intense and tactical battles, mixing strategy and other elements of RPGs. Every single decision, choice and action you take will be crucial in battle and will determine if you emerge victorious or dead! The game unfolds in the original fantasy universe of Confrontation Aarklash. Take the lead of an elite squad of Griffin soldiers, infiltrating enemy territory in order to put an end to the Scorpion threat. The fearsome creatures of the Alchemists of Dirz (the Scorpion), the ferocious Wolfen packs (the Wolf), and the brutal Orcs of Bran-O-Kor (the Jackal) are among the dangerous opponents the courageous soldiers of the Griffin will have to confront during their quest, deep inside the continent of Aarklash.

Gameplay
Is, well. very slow. It's one of them games you either like or hate, but for me it was very hard to like. It got boring within minutes and had no thrills or secrets (that I found). I've never been a fan of games like this, but I bought it just to try, I found this hard to play and there was no tutorials on what to do or how to do it. Which i found odd. In a game where you plan to be in control in fights, you're clearly not. I was just randomly clicking buttons and hoping for the best. Which i hate doing in games at the best of times, I just cannot get on with this game.

Graphics
They're what you'd expect from a game type like this, the graphics don't need to be of high quality as it's pointed to a younger audience, but a few people I know play it from time to time. I wonder how they feel about it. But the terrain detail is average, the rocks look like plastic and the mountains sort of look like they're made from glass. The player detail is okay, but very very blurry, hard to make out if they're humans or not which i found fascinating.

Controls
Like I said above, the controls are very hard to grasp when first playing, but once you know them they're easy. It took me around 20 minutes to get the controls sorted and mapped to the buttons i wanted, I always do that on games as it makes it a hell of a lot easier. But it wasn't needed at all, as it isn't exactly a fast paced game. I couldn't get a game-pad to work with this game, but I'm sure that would have either caused more problems or boosted the price.
