Payday: The Heist
Release date: October 18th, 2011
Developer: Overkill software
Publisher: Sony Online Entertainment
Platforms: Ps3, Microsoft Window,
Genre: First Person Shooter

Synopsis
Payday: The Heist is a 2011 downloadable cooperative first-person shooter video game developed by Overkill Software and published by Sony Online Entertainment. It was released on October 18, 2011, for PlayStation 3 in North America and November 2, 2011, in Europe.[5] It was also released on October 20, 2011, for Windows via Steam software in both the United States and the United Kingdom. The game runs on a modified Diesel game engine. It contains seven different missions (including the free No Mercy downloadable content (DLC) released on 25 July 2012), with each mission containing random elements which alter the gameplay in subtle ways with the aim of enhancing replayability. On August 7, 2012, the Wolf Pack DLC was released on PS3 and PC. This DLC added two new heists, additional weapons, and a new player upgrade tree.

Gameplay
In Payday The Heist the player uses a lot of variety in weapons to complete missions. They usually use these weapons to do bank robberies. This game is like GTA but instead of killing some civilians you might take them hostage which comes in handy, if one of your team mates gets arrested you can make a trade for the civilian for him. While playing missions there is a lot of random events that occur while playing. When your in the middle of a bank robbery you might need to cover one of your teammates while drilling into the safe house. There is a lot of action in this game when it comes to heists.Overall gameplay in this game is fun in this game, recommended if you like action games.

Plot
In Payday: The Heist there really is not a specific plot. The whole thing is just robbing places or defending places off. The game is really repetitive when it comes to the plot of this game. There are six missions that you can play in this game. Your always gun and running or just waiting for your friend to get the money and Go! Overall as i have said before there really isnt a plot to this game and its still a fun gun and run shooter game to play.

Graphics
Graphics in Payday the Heist are fantastic. The environment is so well put together -from pristine banks to rundown apartments, looks great but there are some stiff animations too. For example, hostages dont exactly get on the floor when you scream at them they crouch and then all the sudden there on the floor. One thing I liked that Paydays developers did is add a graphical settings, this lets you see advanced graphics, preset graphic options, and lets you view color grade. Overall the graphics aren't terrible but also not that bad either, Just a few minor issues.

Controls
Controls in this game are very wide spread and simple. You can pick up things, throw things, and using tools by clicking right or left bumper. I only see one problem with the controls and that is having to much single uses for one button. Other than that game is really good on controls could use few enhancements, but i still have not played this game as much.

Rating
Synopsis 8/10
Gameplay 8/10
Plot 6/10
Graphics 7/10
Controls 9/10
Overall 8/10

This game was just a random purchase I made last week. It can be played single player and that's definitely a good experience. But it SHINES when you are playing with your mates. I was telling a friend of mine that I really haven't had as fun with a shooter co-op game like this since the first time me and him played Left 4 Dead together years ago.

Indeed, the game shines in multiplayer and in addition to being quick with a gun, it builds on the features we loved so much with Left 4 Dead
