Gears of War: Judgment
Release Date: March 19, 2013
Developers: Epic Games, Epic Games Poland
Publishers: Microsoft Studios
Platforms: Xbox 360
Genre: Third person shooter

Synopsis
Gears of War: Judgment is a third-person shooter video game, developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly and published by Microsoft Studios for the Xbox 360 in North America on 19 March 2013, with subsequent regions following later that month.[3] It is the fourth entry of the Gears of War series. On 4 June 2012, Microsoft officially announced the development of Gears of War: Judgment at the company's press conference during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2012, before releasing a debut trailer and demonstrating the upcoming multiplayer features.[4][5] Prior to Microsoft's announcement, video game journalists had already determined that the chronology of events in Gears of War: Judgment would pre-date that of the other releases in the franchise, and that the prequel would feature Damon Baird and Augustus Cole as protagonists.

Gameplay
The main campaign is divided up into six chapters you must complete to beat the campaign. Each mission is cored off of kills, headshots, and gibs. Every mission you must get 3 stars and if you get 40 stars you are rewarded with a Aftermath campaign that does not collect stars. Multiplayer is fun but really stupid when it comes to playing. There is 8 maps, and a bunch of game types. When in multiplayer you can kill each other with shotguns , lancers and pick up weapons. They have brought back active reload, ability to plant grenades on walls, and have a shotgun and assault rifle at the same time. Horde mode is challenging and much much better than any other game in my opinion. Overall campaign is short but fun, multiplayer is fun but not as good as gears of war 3, and it could use some improvements.

Plot
Early in the Locust Wars, the kilo squad is accused of treason by Col. Ezra Loomis after Damion Baird leads his team to steal an Experimental Technology.

Following orders the kilo squad checks out a convoy in Old Town and Halvo Bay only to find it and destroy it. The Kilo squad continues to battle in Old Town and making there way into Museum of Military Glory, where they encounter General Karn who is leading hundreds of Locusts. Cadet Sofia Hendrik speaks up and suggests a powerful weapon known as the Lightmass Missile to take out Karn, but Colonel Loomis is against the idea. Realizing that they know the bomb is dangerous they use it anyway and keep moving. Baird then finds a bot and names it Troy. With Troy in their hands, they travel to a mansion to Professor Kurt Elliot, creator of the missile. They then go to onyx point where the missile is and take it with the codes. They then go back to Old Town and battle and Launch the missile killing hundreds of Locusts. They then get arrested for their actions.

Graphics
The Graphics are similar to Gears of war 1, 2, and 3. Every character is detailed hair flowing, and armor. Shooting the walls and seeing sparks go off is very interesting and cool to see. Every gun is detailed and look like it took a pretty decent amount of time to make. There are sharp edges on walls and smooth curves on guns and grenades. Not much to say here its has pretty good graphics for a game like this.

Controls
The controls are pretty much the same thing as Gears of war 1, 2, and 3. All controls are easy to learn and can be learned by a 2nd grader. It is simple to switch weapons, chainsaw somebody, and plant grenades. They are all pretty well laid out and are in the perfect spot for everything. Pretty good Controls not much improvements need at all could be learned by anyone.

Rating
Synopsis 8/10
Plot 8/10
Gameplay 7/10
Graphics 7/10
Controls 8/10
Overall 7.5/10

I though this Gears game was a lot more fluid than previous games. The mechanics to me seemed smoother and for once in multiplayer when I actually shot people they died. Which didn't happen a lot in other Gears games if you used a Lancer. Overall I was a bit shocked to see such low scores. The single player campaign narrative wasn't my style, just get on with it. But the new weapons seemed to fit, I thought they might seem out of place with it being a prequel. The Declassified missions seemed more like a gimmick than anything, but does add a bit of replay value to a mission. I think they have done a good job overall in making the game flow a lot better.

That's exactly what I'm saying. They wanted to please the CoD fans and just blew off the GoW veterans who have been supporting them since 2006.
