Gameplay

The grappling system has been removed. Players can reverse attacks while still downed. Players are able to store finishers. THQ has introduced Wake up taunts. You can choose the specific body part you want to hurt. They include the head,feet,arms, and chest. In WWE Universe Mode, you can make your own matches or title matches. This is a great opportunity for players who want to make their own story line. Your allowed to choose a player's rivals. Players can choose who holds the title. They are allowed to edit the stats of the wrestlers. However, players can get injured especially if you are simulating through the calendar. In Road to Wrestlemania, players experience a journey to the grandest stage of them all for 18 months. There are 3 different players that you use. It includes Triple H, Sheamus, and a custom superstar. You can create your own player in creation mode. WWE'12 is the last game of the series that include Road to Wrestlemania.

Graphics

The graphics in WWE'12 are more realistic. These updated graphics bring the series to a whole new level. You can see little details on the wrestlers. It includes seeing the hair clearer, attire is more realistic, tattoos are darker, and muscles look real. However, the images on the big screen in the arena are a littler greyed out. The arena looks lighter. The Rock's abs look like they aren't there. The arena also looks small and needs to be bigger. The entrance runway is more spread out. Therefore, WWE'12 has improved from SmackDown vs. Raw 2011 graphics.

Controls

The controls are easy to use. The controls are the same from past games. The controls don't feel much different. Controls are easier to learn and this helps with matches being quick. It's easy to learn them. Basic buttons allow you to grapple, do maneuvers, jump off of the ropes, submission moves, finishers, and hit wrestlers with objects. There are some complex moves that require players to use a combination of buttons and this can help keep players amused by trying to learn them.
